Alaska Future Plan
Dear A.N.S.E.P.,

This is **** ******* *********. I have been alive for thirteen years old and live in Fairbanks Alaska. I attend Ryan Middle School and my favorite classes are Math and English. This essay is going to be about how I plan to help Alaska, in both the future and present. I plan to help Alaska in a multitude of ways, such as my business and careers, philanthropy, and serving as an example.

The first major way I will help Alaska is through my business. I am going to be a real estate broker, and later entrepreneur as my career in which both I can help Alaska in a few ways. One way I can help Alaska by fixing up( better known as flipping) broken down and foreclosed houses and sell them for a cheap, reasonable price along with renting at fair rates. The competition between other companies and I would mean superior and

Generosity is immensely moral and important in a good society and I value it highly. Being generous also makes you more satisfied, happy, healthy, and improves your relationship with people. I believe everyone should give whether it be time spent volunteering and or money in the form of a donation as it is a phenomenal life lesson. I am going to make major donations to places like the women's shelter, the rescue mission, Love Inc. ( Love In the Name of Christ) and churches, including my own, First Presbyterian Church, along with any organization that improves the life of Alaskans.I will do these things along with giving my time. Sponsoring young athletes and scholars every year as a means of rewarding hard work is but another way I am going to help Alaska. Moreover, I have gotten the idea to reward members of each tier of my employees with luxuries also for the work and that they are going to be carrying out. Lastly, I also want to help donate to research and support of victims of our current opium and heroin problem that has grown in rent

It wasn’t until 1957 when the Alaska Fishery Service was changed to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.…

Every month the Ketchikan Area Chief Petty Officer Mess works with the Salvation Army to provide meals for those in need of a meal. In the small fishing town, nestled in the majestic fjords of the Tongass National Forest lies this amazing community called Ketchikan. Located in the southeast region of Alaska, this unique village offers many opportunities to thrive and prosper; but like every other town in America, there are those who struggle to get by. Times are hard for these individuals and families that live day to day with little to no food or sometimes shelter. The environment throughout Southeast Alaska is harsh, unforgiving temperate rainforest, and a warm meal and shelter from the elements goes a long way to providing those who need help. During my time in…

Have you ever wanted to give to a charity? How about giving half of your earnings to a charity of your choice? In Peter Singer’s book, The Most You Can Do, that is exactly what people are doing. People such as Matt Wage, Julia Wise, Rhema Kokama, Celso Vieira, and Priya Basil are just a few of the many people who follow this type of lifestyle. According to these people, they are living ethically as effective altruist. To sum up effective altruism, Peter Singer (2016: vii) states that “effective altruism is based on a very simple idea: we should do the most good we can,” as well as “living a minimally acceptable ethical life involves using a substantial part of our spare resources to make the world a better place.” Overall, effective altruism is the use of high-quality evidence and reasoning to achieve the most on can do during his or her lifetime.…

Alaska acts as a whirlwind in Mile’s life. Changing who he is and dealing with that is the heart of the book. It’s not the controversial side-events of a teen’s life (smoking, drinking, cursing, having “sexual relations”) that define a person or this book. It is the lesson of the mercurial nature of life and that change is an active verb not a static noun. High school is a time of life in which everything is in flux, your body, your moods, your relationships and your future all while you’re trapped in the “labyrinth of suffering.” Teens need to live in the moment and not to plan ahead. Change is not the one event in life from which nothing will ever be the same. To live is to change. It is life’s greatest constant that each moment something will be slightly different, and it is only at life’s end that it ceases and we become static. Alaska raced straight and fast through the labyrinth, desperately trying to outrun a change that started when she was eight years old. Instead she became trapped in the now, never looking backward or forward, never thinking to swerve and leaving everything “to be continued.”…

For my community, I volunteer for the Look Good Feel Better organization through the American Cancer Society. Every second Monday of the month I meet with the organization. Several women will come and learn the importance of being sanitary when using makeup while going through cancer treatments. Also, the women learn different ways to wear hats, scarves, turbans, and wigs. I chose to help out with this organization because both my mother and brother have had cancer. I was able to see how well my family members supported them and loved them through the whole process. As a result, I wanted to be able to return the kindness my family was shown by helping others that are…

One gift that I know would make a world of a difference is to help donate shoes to the needy. Soles 4 Souls, which originated in Nashville is a nationally known charity that collects shoes from various places. Soles 4 Souls has a simple concept that is: “We produce shoes and get them to those in need.” Wayne Elsey is the founder and CEO of Soles 4 Souls Inc. Never had he done this type of work before, until one day after the tsunami in 2004 hit Southeast Asia, Wayne was watching TV when he saw a picture of a single shoe washing up on the beach. Viewing that image on the news, he thought of a great idea and called some other executives in the footwear industry and the subsequent donation of a quarter of a million shoes to victims in the devastated countries. This unique charity helps those people in need, regardless of ethnicity, religion, social class, or any other criteria. Thanks to these donations over 125 countries have been distributed shoes including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal and the United States as well. But Soles 4 Soles cannot do this alone. This is where large donations from shoe manufacturers, retailers, nonprofit ministries, schools, and average individuals have helped make this a full-time organization. Seeing how much of a difference one guy has made has opened my eyes and has helped encourage me to notify those around me and my fellow Neighbors help those in need. Not only is it a tax write off, but it can help change someone’s lifestyle and encourage them never to give up. One thing I always keep in mind and find motivating is that it is good karma to help others and to just try and live a positive lifestyle.…

I hope to pass out one blanket and one sandwich to the homeless who are not allowed in a shelter. I will be going downtown every Saturday for the next 4 weeks to pass out blankets and sandwiches. Doing this project will change the world by helping people who are starving and freezing to death. I am doing this project for two reasons. The first reason is because I was assigned this project for 8th grade English class. The second reason is because I think everyone deserves to be warm, provided with food, and have their physical needs met. I am glad that we have this project because it makes me think harder about how I can make an impact on the world.…
