My chosen restaurant is Alebrije. Since Alebrije is so close to multiple schools in the 19610 area, it can be said that the target market for Alebrije is the population of 19610 that is at (or almost at) the “young married with children” and all the way through those at the “older married” stage. It is beneficial for Alebrije to target the Generation X consumers, the baby boomers, and the families of heads of household that are over 55. The Generation X consumers are more likely than others to indulge themselves and baby boomers and families with heads of household over 55 are more able to afford spending fifty dollars per meal, than others are. Through its prices, it specifically targets middle class people since they are the only ones who can afford to spend tens of dollars on each specific item.
From the different menus (specifically the lunch, kids, and vegetarian menu), it is obvious that Alebrije strives to be the community’s go-to for authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is viewed mostly as a sit-down family-friendly restaurant but is also prefect for grabbing a quick lunch with coworkers and friends. Although Alebrije is a bit pricier than other Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood, it also promises high quality customer service and culinary experience.
The core product of the restaurant is satisfactorily being fed food.

This would be a strategic move because even though Chipotle and Alebrije are not direct competitors, they are similar enough to hurt each other’s sales. This option should only cost $3 because its other sides are $1.99 but since this a little more than a side but not significant enough to be a stand-alone entrée, it cannot cost the same as a regular side and therefore just a little bit
