I am reading Breakaway by Alex Morgan and I am on page 102. This book is about Alex Morgan’s life and how she became a famous soccer player. It shows the ups and downs of her career and how she overcame and dealt with hardships. In this journal, I will be rewriting a chapter from the perspective of a different person. I will be rewriting the preface of this novel in the perspective of the boy who accidently hurt Alex.…
Daniel Morgan an American hero. I believe that Daniel Morgan is an American hero because he was a major part in several battles in the American revolution. Including Invasion of Canada, Battles of saratoga, Battle of Cow pens, and Battle of Freeman's Farm. He introduced a new rifle that was much more accurate and lighter than the muskets used. His style of warfare (Guerrilla Warfare) helped him and their army defeat many British. For example The Battle of Cowpens he fought against general Tarleton a very aggressive commander of troops. Morgan had devised a plan to use his aggressiveness against him. The British suffered many casualties and Tarleton fled with only 250 men left with him.…

In high school she played multiple sports but after her sophomore year she decided that she was going to stick with soccer and start focusing more on hat. Her senior year in college was really the start of her whole career. She played on the school team called the Golden Bears and was definitely their star. She led them to the NCAA tournament all of her four years and the second round twice (the NCAA is the National College Athletic Association.) The cool thing about Morgan is that she missed multiple college matches to go play for the U.S. national team which is excellent. And in 2009 she became the youngest member of the women’s national soccer team. In 2011 she was drafted first overall in the Women’s Professional Soccer Draft by the New York Flash. In that same year she was in the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup so she definitely had a lot on her plate. Being the youngest player she scored her first World Cup goal against France in the semifinal match.…
These five compelling reasons are: 1) To determine the effectiveness of a program; 2) To identify effective practices; 3) To identify patterns that need improvement; 4) To provide value to existing and potential funders; and 5) To provide clarity and consensus on the purpose of your program to everyone in your organization, from board members to service staff to volunteers (United Way, 1999, pp. 10-13).…

Rosa Parks was and still is a role model for the African American youth. Rosa wanted everyone to feel special and capable of accomplishing whatever they desire. “’Mrs. Parks is a role model that these students look up to , and they feel very honored and privileged to be in her company.’” She wanted to motivate young people to make a difference so that when she grew old there was no more segregation. Therefore she wanted to do something about this problem, and she wasn’t alone. Rosa wanted racial harmony with everyone in the community. “‘Our mistreatment was, just not right, and I was tired of it.’” The cruel mistreatment many African Americans were receiving was horrible and they were fed up and were about to take it in their own hands.…

The third reason why I go enrolled in OBT was to get into a good college. I’ve always wanted to go to college but I wasn’t the brightest kid in the world. One of the colleges I would like to go to is Hunter College. I would like to go to college to study computer networking, law, and nursing. The reason why I want to study computer networking is because I…
My first reason is that I wanted to see if college. I say this because college is not for everybody. I have seen an overwhelming amount of people go to college and drop out. For an example, in my family, on my mother’s side, my aunties and uncles decided not to go to college. On the other hand, my family, on my father’s side, went to college and did not get a job based on what they majored in or went to college, but dropped out. So, me being, I wanted to know why did they go to college and drop out. Then, I started comparing their lifestyles together. In result, I started talking to people that went to college to see how it is. This brings me to my second reason.…
The third reason is so that I can gain more knowledge and experience in my field. It is better to know more about the field you want to complete and how to do something maybe a little more better, then to start something and have no idea how to do something or deal with something with no knowledge of it. Lastly, my goal is to be happy with what I am doing and enjoy the finer…
