Alexander The Great: Who Was Alexander The Great?
Alexander The Great Alexander's empire was 2,000,000 miles big. Alexander was born in 356 B.C.E in Macedonia. His father was king Philip of Macedonia, and his mother was Olympia. They hired a philosopher Aristotle to teach him After his father was assassinated He became king, and took his father's plan to conquer Persia.(BGE). Was Alexander really great? Alexander was great for at least three reasons intelligence, creativity, caring for others. The first reason that Alexander was great was his intelligence. Alexander was intelligent by marrying king Darius’s daughter to unify the people to like him(BGE) Also, he was intelligent by the way he traveled. Alexander traveled along the sea and fought by rivers. This was a good strategy
because the army would not run out of water, and they would have an advantage(Doc A). This evidence helps explain why Alexander was great because how he used his intelligence to be great. The second reason alexander was great was his creativity. Alexander was creative when he fought Porus. Porus had an army of elephants, on the other side of the Hydaspes. Alexander made war cries throughout the night. This tired and confused the elephants. Then his cavalry surrounded Porus and fought. (Doc B) Alexander was creative with how he unified all the lands. He unified the lands by using three steps,

Alexander was going back to Greece, and some of his officers wanted to stay. Alexander agreed so the officers stated(Doc F). This evidence helps explain why Alexander was great because he could of killed all the people, and not let his officers stay. So, that states that he is great.
