Allergic To Makeup
Allergic Reactions
• One of the most common problems experienced with makeup is an allergic reaction. In many cases, a person doesn't know they are allergic to the makeup until after using it with adverse results. The chemicals can cause rashes, acne, itching or dryness, wherever the makeup has been applied. The reaction can be nearly undetectable to quite severe. Allergies can be determined by visiting a physician and completing a "patch test." During the test, the doctor applies certain chemicals to a small area of the skin, and then waits for a few days to see what reaction, if any, occurs. Once an allergy becomes apparent, consumers can avoid makeups that contain the problem chemical.
Acne
• Certain makeups clog pores more than others.

In chapter 11 of Unfair “What We Must Overcome” our author tackles on three serious challenges we face in realizing science-based reforms. First, he addresses the approach our justice system has towards juror screenings and exactly how we are getting it wrong. Benforado suggest that these juror screening are intended to eliminate those people who cannot be fair if selected to be a jury in a criminal case. While we purpose to address this bias, our author suggest that we are instead,” reinforcing a false narrative oh what bias is, where it comes from and how it can be remedied. “(P.g. 240) Consequently, Benforado offers us an experience of his own with the juror selection process, which he and other jurors filled out a questionnaire. Moreover, if you indicated that you are more likely to the believe the testimony of a police officer, over the testimony of a normal person all you received was speech on why it was wrong. The judge would explain to you that” your job as a juror required you to treat every witness the same regardless of his or her position, race, gender or the like. (P.g.240) After…

I, myself, have not experienced any adverse reactions, allergic reactions, or any drug-drug reactions. But I do have a couple of friends in nursing school who have experienced reactions during their clinicals and they sometimes talk about stories in the hospital. In one case, a patient at a hospital in Fort Wayne had an allergic reaction to penicillin. The registered nurse my friend was with asked the patient if she was allergic to anything and she replied yes. But, she had no idea what the name of that drug was. In this case, the nurse could have done a penicillin skin test, which I was told is pretty simple. All you have to do is give a tiny bit on the skin's surface and if you're allergic, a little itchy red bump will appear on that little…

Ever since I was about 11, I've always had problems with acne. It used to be quite severe but the older I get the better it seems to be. I've tried probably hundreds of different products out there for acne and oily skin, and I probably have over 100 bottles of half used products. It sometimes confuses me why there are so many different products out there, but they all work differently and some just dont work at all. And how some 'amazing' products that 'work wonders' are the most damaging on your skin.…
