Alternate Ending To Frankenstein
“No!” I tried to scream, but was lost for words. A huge net plunged into our holding cell. Its bright blue appearance made my stomach twist in knots. Frederick screeched as the net dragged his desperate body into the airless wasteland above. The pale creature held his gasping body before my cage, mocking my pain. He was my only friend. I heard his screams ring out for a minute, and then everything went silent. “Boom, boom, boom!” My eyes open suddenly. I can hear its footsteps outside.”Boom, boom, boom.” It slowly approaches me. My body tenses up and I pace impatiently. A thousand things run through my head. Is this the end? Will I meet the same fate as my ex-roomate. The one who was violently taken one taken. Dark thoughts swim in and …show more content…
Suddenly, the roof of my cell opens and food rains from above, slowly sinking. The roof returns and the creature emerges from the mist. I hesitate. “Eeeeeaaaat,” it screeches and I scurry over to the disgusting food. It smells savory, but I know better. I open my mouth and swallow it. It tastes bitter and crude. I feel the food struggle to squeeze down my throat. I fight with my gag reflex and manage to swallow it. The creature seems satisfied and disappears back into the mist. I relax, a little, and begin my daily pace across my cell. Just endless, mindless pacing. Pacing. Pacing. Pacing. I go to the far side, round the nauseating pink plant coated in green slime. I circle about the rock the color of the grey mist outside. I force myself to eat some more, I must be well fed when I make my escape, whenever that will …show more content…
The orange creature swiftly creeps into the room to the right and retrieves a sharp pointed object. It glimmers in the moonlight. He disappears back into the room and stumbles in, clutching a bowl of fresh, clear water. He clumsily slams the bowl of water on the floor beside my holding cell. A sharp scraping sound pierces my ears as the orange creature begins to dissect the mesh from the window beside my cell. He nods in satisfaction when he finishes. Then, he circuits back to the other side of the room. In an instant, the creature is airborne, soaring high above my cell and into the window, shattering the glass. I hear the pale creature croak “what the…..” from above and I know my time is coming soon. The pale creature quickly bounds down the stairs and rounds the corner to the window. His hairy, giant, bare stomach presses against my cage as it struggles to see what caused the broken window. I know this is my only shot, so I lunge. I heave my cage over the edge of the table, slamming against the pale creature. It whines in pain. At the last second, I heave a hefty breath and leap. I taste the icy air surrounding me. Somehow, I land with a certain grace I never knew I possessed in the bowl. The pale creature clutches its stomach and deflates in pain. The orange creature reappears from the outside and plucks my bowl in its mouth. He scuttles out the window to

After what felt like hours the tortured groan of the heavy iron door announced the arrival of an unknown guest. As the man walked in the room he turned and smiled at us causing me to scoff within Alice’s mind; “I hear that you’ve been hearing voices” the man asked in a sickly sweet tone. “Kill him” i sneer in the most sinister way and with a slight nod of the head my corrupted little puppet jumped at him tearing at the flesh of his meaty neck with her sharp little teeth causing him to stumble to the ground as he sputtered violently on the crimson liquid that spilt down his convulsing body. Alice then began playing with the man’s pulsing laceration as if a toddler were playing with their food while giggling manically. Only to be halted by a pair of hands wrapping around our body and violently throwing us across the cell all I could hear were the grotesque cracks as each bone broke and Alice’s sweet screams of pain as she is kicked across the room until she was nothing but a whimpering heap in the corner. “Die” the tall man screamed as he picked Alice up by the legs and slammed us against the cold walls of the cell with a sickening crack causing one final screech of pain from Alice to ricochet through the vile halls of the prison as she slumped to the ground with black oozing from her terrified eyes and her mouth that was left…

You could almost hear the souls of my fellow men screaming for mercy as the beast devoured every scrap of their bodies. He went through man by man by man in a matter of minutes with the most utterly disgusting noise of horrible manners. I could hear him getting closer and closer to where the place I lay on the cold, chilling ground, praying that I will not be joining the deceased souls of my fellow…

He had found the poor lab in an alleyway with bruises up and down its body. But it had love in its eyes, he thought. The Pit Bull had no empathy. That was the difference between them. It had begun moving slowly at the tent. The boy quickly bit off a piece of duct tape and wrapped his dog’s wound. It would take both of them. The menacing terrier broke into a sprint with gnashing teeth. The boy had no weapons but his fists and friend. His dog braved and lunged at the beast. The boy did as well, punching, kicking, and yelling. The creature probably weighed twice what he did. His dog let out a cry, but he could not tell if it was owing to the preexisting injury or a fresh wound. He could barely see through his drenched hair and the sheets of rain. The beast, unfeeling, did not yelp when he caught its jaw with a sharp blow. It simply paused, stared at him, and backed away slowly. It seemed bewildered, but its beady eyes exhibited no signs of pain. It was…

I awoke in the early hours of the morning as usual. The air was thick and wet, but the day’s hunt wouldn’t wait. I got up and stretched my legs before checking the traps I set the evening before. The forest seemed unsettlingly too quiet. Did I wake up earlier than I usually would have? I walked down to the waterhole, to see if any of my nets were filled. There was a soft mist over the shallows, creating an ominous feel. I checked up and down the banks, but my nets had all vanished. With the sounding of the raven’s caw, I decided to head back up to camp. I heard a quick rattle in the leaves due east of my position, so I made haste to draw my bow and hold her steady in firing position. My breath was heavy as the musk in the air poured into my lungs.…

CHAPTER NINE Troll Snatching I opened my eyes and two giant wart covered trolls who bore an eerie similarity to the creature that had haunted me in my nightmare were standing over me glaring down. Their red beady eyes were filled with detest and I screeched loud enough to wake the dead. One of the monsters stuck his hairy hideous hand over my mouth and the other sprinkled around some kind of teal colored magical dust. I breathed it in and I was under their spell. The blur of blue caught my eye and I watch it bellow down the street relentlessly swallowing people and children, and then fading into the hazy distance. Another breed of the same species comes careening down the opposite side of the street, it’s screeching tires skid across the miserable cracks of cement, suddenly halting to a dramatic stop. The metallic fiend exhales and shudders, impatiently waiting to select the next poor soul for consumption. Its mouth opens wide with a deep sounding hiss, beckoning me forward with a breath of steamy air. The air is stale and it forces my eyes to cry. To escape I attempt to rush forward but a jolt of force sends me crashing into a fortified wall of steel. The tribute I am carrying in my left hand is instantly relinquished as a result of the crash and I scramble on the floor for a minute before retrieving it. I solemnly stare at the crumpled dollar bill I hold between my fingers for I know this spoiled hell of a machine will never accept such lowly currency!…

In the creature's quest for food, the monster curiously enters a stranger's home. “Finding the door open, I entered. An old man sat in it, near a fire, over which he was preparing his breakfast. He turned on hearing a noise; and perceiving me, shrieked loudly, and quitting the hut, ran across the fields with a speed of which his debilitated form hardly appeared capable” (73). After his encounter, with the elderly man the monster wanders, somewhat aimlessly. He happens upon a village, entering the one of the nicer cottages because of the allure of food. The townspeople immediately reject him and either physically wounding him with weapons or run in fear. The monster leaves the town to seek refuge against the villagers attack, gaining a new fear for human beings. “This hovel,…
