Through discipline, children gain a clear understanding of what is right and what is wrong, however, it surely depends on the method of disciplinary teaching that is being utilized. This means that it basically depends upon the ideas of right and wrong so as to teach this idea to children. Punishment has long been recognized as necessary in teaching discipline to children, rather than an effective technique. Yet, it is also a well-documented fact that children fear punishment, and thus may behave in an appropriate manner because of their fear from punishment.
