America is a great country
America is a great country. There are people, there’s order, and there’s even a military to protect us. This military is made up of warriors and brave men and women that are ready to fight when our country needs them, but they aren’t just born like that. For a long time the government had a small military because not many men and women were brave enough to fight. The government needed a solution, so they researched for years to try and find a way to make braver kids in America. The answer was violent video games. It was simple. Kids love video games and would play almost any game out there, so the government negotiated with some game companies and finally found a deal with Activision to make a war simulating game. This was the very first shooter game. Kids loved it. They played all day fighting and shooting at people they didn’t know. Also the more random people you killed the more points you got. Kids would go and play with friends shooting them over and over. The game wasn’t scary or boring because every time you died you respawned so it made almost fun when you died. If that wasn’t enough the next version of violent games came out this one even more realistic. This time the game was exactly like war. You had grenades, helicopters, tanks, and more. They made team wars so players could practice war strategies for infiltrating enemy lines and destroy your opponents. players collected money every time they killed someone, and later could buy guns with the money they earned. The games were a huge success. The military was huge now that kids that had grown up with the violent video games they had no fear in war and felt no guilt in killing a person. Why should they? They grew up knowing if you killed a person in the game they would just respawn and start over, why should it be any different now? The people that didn’t make it in the military were left in the cities. There were people on the streets that had no shame in killing a person and would draw a gun in a

School shootings years ago in Paducah, Kentucky; Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Littleton Colorado, have raised the question time and time again. Do violent video games have an influence on children and their aggressive behavior? In all three of these brutal shootings, all the shooters were students who habitually played violent video games. The Columbine High School students who murdered thirteen and wounded twenty-three in Littleton before committing suicide after the shooting, enjoyed playing Doom, a bloody and violent video game. One of the shooters made a customized version of Doom: two shooters, unlimited ammunition, extra weapons, and victims who couldn’t fight back. This customized version of the game was surprisingly similar to the actual school shooting.…

The US military uses violent video games to train soldiers to kill. “The US Marine Corps licensed Doom II in 1996 to create Marine Doom in order to train soldiers. In 2002, the US Army released first-person shooter game America's Army to recruit soldiers and prepare recruits for the battlefield.” Michael Reagan, "US Military Recruits Children: 'America's Army' Video Game Violates International Law," Truthout website, July 23, 2008. People might say that violent video games are not doing . This isn’t true because the army wouldn’t be training their soldiers with things that wouldn’t teach them to kill and be vicious. This means that if kids play the same games as army members they can get to be aggressive like an army person.…
