American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History is the biography of Chris Kyle an American War Hero who became a legend during the war in the Middle East. While the book gets direct testament from Kyle it was put together by 2 other people making it a biography. The book gives a brief summary of his life early life in Texas, which influenced his patriotism and service. The majority of the book takes place between numerous areas in the middle east. This portion of the book is important, because Chris Kyle’s time over seas is what really made his reputation into what it is today. During his (Basic Underwater Demolition/Seals)BUD/S training he endured endless physical and mental abuse to train him for the job he would need to do as a Seal. After passing both BUDS he received his stationing at seal Team 3, in San diego. It was at this time he met his wife Taya who he had 2 kids with. He furthered his training in Seal Sniper School, where he learned the skill that would eventually get him the nickname “The Legend.” In Total Chris Kyle served four tours in the Middle East. Serving in such harsh areas as Ramadi, and Sadr City he eventually beat the United States record for most confirmed sniper kills, previously 109. Kyle had over 160 confirmed killed verified by the pentagon. Chris would often lead marines into houses and instruct them on how to clear houses more efficiently so less Americans were killed. One day he was getting mantinace on his wife's car, and they called his name. A young man came up and told him he saved his butt in a tight situation.
