Ever since my father married that hateful woman my life has been absolute hell, but my father had no clue as to what was happening since he was always away from home, because the king had ordered him of to negotiate trade with other kingdoms and cities within our lands. I forced myself to just deal with it since she makes my dad happy but I going to be honest I'm done with it.

"ASHER WESTFALL ANSWER ME WHEN I ASK YOU A QUESTION YOU UNGRATEFULL BRAT" She thundered. Oh no, oh god I'm dead, I have no clue what she just said. Mentally I am freaking out and praying that she won't give me even more chores, but physically I simply responded with " Oh I'm so sorry can you please repeat the question."

"Ugh why must you never listen, I asked if you were ready to leave for the new house?" She harshly said.

New house? What? This is the first I had ever heard about moving. Um excuse me but don’t I get a say in this, how is this fair? Really, I shouldn’t be surprised, they never tell me anything in the first place so why should I start to expect that sort of thing

Ernest Hemingway’s writing choices are famously in favor of clear and concise language, sharply contrasting those of William Faulkner, an author who is known to use many fluid descriptions, metaphors, and similes in order to emphasize certain ideas. Although both Faulkner and Hemingway choose to describe more than just what is plainly written, they differ immensely in presentation. Faulkner adheres strictly to his own tradition of using powerful language to give his stories a strong tone, as if spoken by a descriptive storyteller. Hemingway on the other hand describes his stories impartially, avoiding bias towards one character or another, and instead telling things the way they are (or rather, the way he creates them to be). Hemingway’s tone, style, and diction in “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” is presented in a plain and unbiased fashion that allows its reader to capture exactly what Hemingway intends to say.…
