We would like to acknowledge and express our deepest appreciation to the certain website of a Thai restaurant, “Sawasdee” for helping our minds to expand, gaining us the answer of our questions for our minds were so curious, we needed this for the betterment of our investigation.

With this help, we were enlightened by the information that was given about the so-called tropical flower juice. Our parents have been very supportive to what we were doing for the well hard worked project and the good of our Investigatory Science Project. It would not have been such an accomplishment if it weren’t for us who worked very hard for the triumph of the ISP.

For Norine Mae, who provided the place where we made the experiment, which made our work more proper, neat, and effective. We would also like to thank our Physics teacher, Ms. Emiliani Rengel for allowing us to investigate and broaden our knowledge about the topic wherein we learned a lot of new things and ideas. The support and comments she has given for the improvement of the research. Lastly, for God who has always been there in times we really needed Him, for protecting and guiding us to the right path that led to our accomplishment.

Abstract

Mango juice, orange juice, pineapple juice and other types of beverages are the usual drink we find as typical nowadays. But what if one accidentally eats a foreign, authentic restaurant and actually gets to taste an extraordinary drink known to be made out of flowers. Well, coincidentally, one of my co-journalists before did experience such a

As I walked in the restaurant I noted a very distinct smell of strong spices. The inside of the restaurant was painted a deep red and the lighting was low. There were gold and brass decorations scattered around the room. It seemed to me to be a traditional Thai style with somewhat of an American appeal. The menu was very straightforward with plenty of pictures to accompany the description of the dishes. (Mini, take-home version of the menu is included in the back.) There was a section dedicated to appetizers, salads, soups, curries, wok fried dishes, noodles and fried rice and the specials. I was familiar with most of the items on the menu from my past Thai restaurant experiences but a few were new to me. There were plenty dishes that I’m sure may have originated in Thailand but seemed to have been scaled back to appeal to us Americans. The specials they were offering, however, were particularly different. (Photo of the specials menu is included on page 3.) One of the main dish specials was titled Grilled Salmon wrapped in Banana Leave. Although I was very interested I was also a little short on money.…

Seven hundred and sixty-nine check ins. Eighty-one bookmarks. Twelve dukedoms. A global domination badge. For some people, Yelp is a way to see how well a new restaurant down the street is rated. For me, Yelp is a way of life. My curiosity, appreciation for technology and innate love for food have made me into somewhat of a “foodie”. It’s one of my better qualities. But, it also left me slightly stumped when I received this assignment to eat at a restaurant whose culture I hadn’t already experienced. After some serious brainstorming and a bit of in-class homework, I finally came upon an ethnic restaurant that had slipped through my fingers until then. I’m glad it took me this long, because this assignment left me with a newfound love- Ethiopian Food.…

At this site, the people come together each year to let go of one's hatred, anger and past transgressions. They do so by, making a container made with banana leaves or bread, placing some kind food dish in it, lighting a candle, sometimes placing a small coin and then setting it in to the river as to pay respects to the water spirits and Buddha. At this gathering, one can see lights floating on the waters, lantern lights in the sky; literally lights hanging from anywhere that is applicable. Seeing all of the beautiful lush vegetation in photos, the restaurant has strategically placed various tropical palm trees within to give that feel of freshness. As if one was indulging in fine cookery basking in the sunlight and fresh breeze on the Phi Phi Islands. Everything is set up to give the average person an authentic feel of Thailand to go with the authentic Thai formula. Brought by the kindest wait staff, even the menu itself includes both English and Thai or rather Siamese wordings. The people working are so pleasant and fluent in English, they would not be offended if one did try to order in their native tongue. Personally, I've never once tried to pronounce anything off of the menu, mainly I do not want to be disrespectful and I have no knowledge of how it should…
