How would you feel being on the sixth highest peak of the world (8201m/26906ft)!! With the adrenalin pumping and sun rising across a ridge, Cho Oyu is the best opportunity. Cho Oyu means ' Turquoise God’. The name stems from the turquoise color of the peak in the afternoon sun from the Tibet side of the mountain. This trek gives you an wide chance to hone your mountain climbing skills across extreme altitudes. It is highly recommended as a first 8,000m peak; convenient stepping-stone to an attempt on the Everest. The mountain lies in the Himalayas and is 20 km west of Mount Everest; at the border between China and Nepal. The Friendship highway is the ultimate marvel of this tour.

At the base camp, we import tons of food from Kathmandu. While at the mountain, we usually provide you with a wide variety of meals; these are significantly tastier than frozen foods/ canned foods or even the dried foods! They are real food and ready to heat and eat! At the “Advanced Base Camp”, you would get a taste of “base-camp-like” food as it is the Sherpa cook staff, who prepares it. We work hard to make sure our food is second to none.
We will arrange hotel and guesthouse accommodation (including breakfast) below base camp. However, lunch and dinner in the hotel and guesthouse is not covered by our package price, and you will be spending close to US$ 14 to US $18 per day for the lunch and dinner. From the base camp and above, until you return to the base, all the foods are provided!
How long will a typical day on the mountain be?
It depends on the day and your level of Acclimatization! At the offset of the trip, it the days may feel slower and longer. Eventually, as you start adjusting to the mountain, the days pass by much quicker. An average day can vary from 5hrs to 12 hours long! However, the summit day can stretch up to 15 hours long.
