Analysis Of A Normal Day By Daniel Uyanneh
A Normal Day-Written by Daniel Uyanneh
Everyone has their own opinion about secondary school, Some people think that secondary school is as easy as standing on your own two feet, some people even say that it isn't that tricky. However when you’re a child in the 21st century it is harder than you may think.
Today was a typical day in English class the luminous sun was high in the dismal glaucous sky. My mood was like the weather inside I felt very tiresome like the dismal sky and on the outside I put a smile on my face to show that I wasn't dying inside just like the sun. The classroom, on the other hand, is no different than a rambunctious jungle, my friends and peers being the ear-piercing in-habitants that lurk in the depths of the jungle. However as much as I would wish that this class is a jungle, and not my actual class, it is not, this is class 9CD/EN4 moreover this class is well known for being the worst class in year 9. That title

Who's fault was it, you say? It was the main culprits as always and a few new ones to add to that. Our teacher told the whole class to do some silent reading although the misbehaving misfits cannot behave even if it was to save their lives in my opinion. All they do is talk, laugh and make senseless noises that distract the teacher from teaching us. The time is now twenty minutes to one o'clock, our lesson started exactly 25 minutes ago, in that time that they wasted I wrote a one paged draft of a creative writing piece that I had been working on.The class decisively began to simmer down a little, my inner-mood began to raise. However just when I thought that the class was going to be calmer than before one of the foolish misfits gets on-called. It was no surprise to me, that person is one of the regular culprits that misbehave; that person even kicked the chair to show their rage. I just continued with my work, acting like nothing even

Classroom 3-A, Hajime couldn't tell if he was lucky or unlucky to be in a classroom with his peers. The faces he found familiar were outnumbered by the many unfamiliar faces. His saving grace was that his homeroom teacher was a breath of fresh air compare to the painfully boring teacher his earlier year. None worse than his freshman teacher who would yell at them about how entitle their generation was from the clothes they wear to the technology they used.…

I approached the teacher before their next lesson and explained how the children took time to process instructions and that if they were laughing and joking about it would take afew minutes to calm down and get focused on what was required next. The teacher glared at me and then very sharply told me not to tell her how to do her job. I was mortified .I explained i was just trying to point out how they reacted and felt when she shouted at them for not instantly stopping and getting on with the next task. I apologised if she felt i had offended her. At the end of the lesson, she came over and said she was sorry for over reacting, and now realised i worked with them more than she did, and actually had a point, and she would allow time for them to settle. I feel that by me not getting into a confrontation with her made a lot of difference, and we was able to sort the problem out sensibly.…

    Gary Gossman Essay

Gary was more than proud of the fact that he gave his students a quiz everyday in his Latin class so that they would remember what they had learned the day before. Gary also wanted his students to apply what they were learning to the real world. While interviewing my grandfather he said, “In American Government, I never gave a student an A unless they did at least two ‘A projects’.” These “A projects” were simple things like interviewing a local politician or going to a town meeting. Gary confided that discipline had been the hardest part of being a teacher for him, but he always had the best strategy for dealing with rowdy students. His plan was extremely simple, “if a student would act up in class I would say, ‘that is a great point. Maybe you should stay behind after the bell so that we can discuss it’,” this phrase would make the color drain from even the worst troublemaker’s face. Unlike his co-workers when he first began working, Gary refused to yell at or hit any of his students. In his forty-two years of teaching, the idea of it never crossed his mind. Being a teacher takes a lot of patience, and just as his father always said, “just know you are smarter than the kids, and that you have more experience than…

I remember it all. I can still feel the warm summer wind gliding my sun-kissed cheeks. I didn’t usually have all of my windows down while I drove, especially not on the way to my lackluster burden, otherwise known as my job. Today was an exception, however, summer was quickly approaching its end, and I would be once again bound by the chains of high school. I decided to cherish every little bit that I had left. As I pulled in, I thought to myself, “just another ordinary day of work.” Oh…

Censorship of an author’s words denies individuals the ability to choose, to critically evaluate, and to judge what they read. Banning a book is most frightening when viewed in the context of a young adult. Censorship automatically assumes a young adult is incapable of critically evaluating information they read. The implication exists that due to their age young adults cannot be trusted to make the right decisions nor resist outside influences. Furthermore, the individuals and groups inciting censorship seldom view the challenged book objectively. In "Teens Need Bold Books," Gallo observes that censorship advocates “often call for the banning of books without actually reading them, and even in rare instances where objecting parents have…

Have you ever heard of a highly interactive, multiplayer online game called World of Warcraft, or “WoW”? You probably have heard of it, but have you ever wondered why people are so enchanted by this particular game? What could be so special about it? If you have ever asked yourself these questions, you are not alone. Author of My Life as a Night Elf Priest, Bonnie A. Nardi, sheds light on some of these subjects through not only interviewing players of WoW, but by living the experience herself. However, before she even begins to play, she must attain a fresh mindset. She accomplishes this by breaking down barriers, including stereotypes that people may already have of WoW players. As a beginner of the game, she gets to learn the aspects of…

Once again, I was placed in Mrs.Metcalfe who teaches second grade at Bens Branch Elementary. Mrs.Metcalfe took attendance while the students waited patiently on the carpet. After she took attendance, she addressed that she had taken some privileges away from the students because the students did not picked up their mess after having centers and would not follow instructions that the teacher gave. She explained that centers might return for the upcoming school year if they behaved properly. After she addressed the issues of the students, she instructed everyone to go back to their desks and waited till they put their thumbs which meant that they were ready for the lesson of the day. Mrs.Metcalfe went up to the front of the class to use the projector and expected her students to follow what she was doing on their worksheets.…
