Thus, the war to defund Planned Parenthood becomes a war to end access to safe and legal abortions. Anyone who blindly believes that Planned Parenthood is all about abortions is apathetic, who has absolutely zero knowledge on the subject matter. Planned Parenthood is not all about abortions; in fact, according to its website, only three percent of its services are abortions. Out of the one million abortions conducted in the United States per year, Planned Parenthood roughly only performs 30 percent of them. Not to mention the common misbelief surrounding the idea that federal tax money goes towards performing these abortions, so by defunding the organization abortions would decrease.
