Analysis Of Heather Mac Donald's Speech

Heather Mac Donald had given a speech on the black lives matter movement in which some would consider to be “powerful.” She had given this speech at Hillsdale college on April 27th, 2016 for the AWC Family Foundation Lecture Series. As she had given her speech, throughout it she had delivered a variety of evidence and statistics. However, while she was giving her speech of the evidence she collected, consequently the diction she had used was like an insult to the black community. The vocabulary she used focused more on an audience that is more educated. While Donald had given this speech she appealed to the concepts of why someone should believe her, the emotions she showed in her speech, and the facts and statistics that support what she is speaking about.
Donald would be considered a credible source because she had received her J.D. from Stanford Law
The number of black men murdered are greater than that of the combination of white and hispanic victims. These individuals were not killed by the hands of authorities, however; by the hands of their fellow citizens. Black males that are still in there teens commit one of the biggest crimes which is homicide and they commit it more times than whites and hispanics put together. Even though all we see over the media are black individuals getting killed by an officer that is not necessarily true because 987 individuals who were killed in 2015 50% of those victims were white and 26% were of African descent. In America blacks held the most percentile crime rate out of other minority groups and only had 15% of the population. The “Black Live Matter Movement” is focused on the lives that were taken far too soon by the hands of cops yet, 40% of the people who killed cops were black people. And even though this movement is for change they would not tell you that Hispanics and Whites are the largest groups who are killed in America by police
