Necessary features of school uniform has some criteria like absorbency, body perspiration, appearance, attractiveness, pleasing design and color, feeling of pride and uniqueness while performing in uniform, good fitting and comfort during school hours. Past researchers have also noted the essentiality of having a school uniform policy in the educational environment. Brunsma and Rockquemore (1998) have stated that students must relinquish some freedom in exchange for a supposed improvement in the educational environment. And for that exchange to be worthwhile, actual benefits to academic achievement and student behavior should be observed. Also, school officials need to be aware of the positive and negative effects of school uniforms before deciding to profoundly change school policy. The two have stressed that there is a need to implement proper uniforms, but of course there will always be the pros and cons. The sudden shift from the habitual school uniform to a new one could carry indistinguishable, if not to be looked at closely, effects which may lead to thankfully if of good academic performance, but will be alarming if it causes threat to the studying practices and such of the students.
