This is caused by the lack of blood flowing in these areas. Hands and feet will become numb and frostbitten. Also, Ripley describes, “She was getting colder and colder”. In the article, “Hypothermia- Cold Weather Health Risks”, the author identifies, “Reports of people who have died or come close to death with hypothermia describe them as becoming colder and increasingly numb, then drifting slowly off into oblivion.” According to people who have experienced hypothermia, growing colder and colder is a symptom.
