Analyzing The Movie 'Cool Runnings'

Cool Runnings Essay BEYONCE! Great now that I have your attention I would like to talk about “Cool Runnings”. “Cool Runnings” is a movie about a Jamaican bobsledding team who wants to make it to the Olympics, the team shows support and are honest towards each other. Honesty and Support are characteristics I believe my fellow AVID peers and I demonstrate. If these characteristics helped the Jamaican team achieve their goals, I can also use them to achieve my dreams and goals.

For instance, what does support mean to me? To me support is keeping your friends or colleagues spirit up and encouraging them to do better, I show support for my school by going to the home games. Support is being there for someone who can’t exactly help themselves, for example in tutorials when we help the presenter with his/her question. The characters in Cool Running help and support each other to do better in bobsledding. Not just in bobsledding, in the movie we see how Yul supported Junior and encouraged his decision in not following his dad’s business.
In Cool Runnings we got a background story of how Coach Blitzer cheated in bobsledding and lost all his medals. The Jamaican team was honest and didn’t cheat, but still didn’t win the gold medal. If only they had won the gold, would they be accused of cheating? I show honesty to my teachers when telling them the truth if I did the homework or not.
