The Ancient Maya are different from the Maya today. The Mayan culture does not do the same tradition’s that their ancestors did. One of them is the law that they follow. It's very different from the law's that are in the US. The language that they speak is spanish. They are only allowed to speak it. Because the spanish wiped out that language from there colcher.
The Maya lived all over Central America. Each temple or city lived in a city-state. There was one City- State thrived along the Mesoamerican country. Because that was a perfect place for the city state to live near to get all the food and water that they need. They also had a very good source of water they got that by rivers and streams nearby the village. There was a lot of change in the Mayan culture over the years. That happened between 1800 BCE-200 CE period of time. Because there were a lot of wars going on in that time frame. They had a lot of different practice of religion
and gatherings that they had. The kings had all the reponibillatys of the people and the City- State that they had. Chian was the largest City- State in the Mayan territory. There was a very good thing about the Mayan though. They created the 260 day calendar and the numbering system to. That we use still use in the modern life today.

Over the years the mayan have developed 70 different languages that they speak in there colcher. The military in that time they had to follow the king's rule. So when the people went to war the king gave certain orders that they were supposed to follow. They Invented the irrigation system to water their crops in the dry season. Then also the could grow crops year round. We use it in a hier teck part of the irrigation system. but they still came up with the system so they can water their crops in the off season. There were priest that was Just below the king. So the priest had to do these things for the king. By doing arend for them and then they had to sometimes sacrifice themselves for the king. They did a lot of carvings for the king. They were always dressed in hieroglyphs. There were also volcanic eruptions in the mayam times to so they suffered losses in that time because of the eruptions. Then there were a lot of death sentences to the people because of their behavior that they had. The sentences were also carried out on on execution blocks underneath the king. In the days of the maya the loges river is the Sock optum is the longest river in the maya time. They also used it for water to. That river was a source of fresh water for them. There were natural wellness in the mayan times because they were very klean people. They washed up just like we did in the morning before school. The environment was tropical so they got some of their food from the trees. They had crops for there food there main one was maiz.
They referred it to corn also. They also used the corn in many ways. They also aght it three times a day in something. They made tortillas. Corn meal and more. In some mayan cultures to day the till use the old method of grinding of the maize. When they married it was chosen by the family. Then when they got married. The groom had to show to the bride's father that he was good anuf or his daughter. They got married at the age of 13-14 That they could get married. But there was a cech they could not be related to the family. They king in that time were very stericked. The kings wanted to have everyone to worship them. In the mayan culture they set worship days so that the people could worship the gods that they have. They also have certain gods, The gods control the things that are in the world. There was one god that they maya fear the most is the underworld god. That was a legion that was told to the people and they feared that very
baly. In the maya world to day the follow some of the cultures that they have. Then they continue what they have so that the culture is not completely wiped out. They all speak the spanish language but do some of things the same like grading and living styles. They also worked for their equal rights to but the countries will not let them have the rights to vote and freedom. But there was one women that got the nobel peace prize. Then finally in 1995 the got equal rights that they wanted. They can follow the traditions of their ancestors and also have the right the same of all the people on The countries.
