Andreas Vesalius
You may know me. I am a man of science and anatomy. I love to learn about the body structure. I was the first to assemble a human skeleton. I also wrote a book about the body structure. Do you now know who I am? Yes, I am the scientist, Andreas Vesalius.
My background stems from Brussels in Europe. I was born in December 1514 in Brussels.
I was born into a family of scientists. My family was filled with physicians and pharmacists, and this influenced me to also become a scientist. I studied at the University of Louvain in France.

When you look at your own body, you wonder, what is under your skin. Well, I solved that question. When I had become an adult, I specialized in human anatomy and made new discoveries. I cut open dead people to look at their muscles. Next, I made drawings of my observations of the whole body. I put the drawings into a book that I called, “On the Structure of the Human Body”. Once the book was published, I became a legend. Many people have given me complements and told me that the book is amazing. People had never seen anything like it before.

This whole new way scientists look at the body is because of me. I changed forever on how people look at the body.
That is in short how I became famous. My book has since helped people to understand how the body works. Other scientists have later added more information to this field of

Our inquisitive minds leave us pondering the fact that some questions have a multitude of answers leaving us with only our own opinion on what is right. Antony Gormley had an endless amount of questions dealing with the human body. He asked questions such as, where do we begin and where do we end? Gormley was an artist creating sculptures of the human body and placing them in various positions, and in random places. Gormley was nowhere near knowledgeable about his art but through his art he found a way to help people recognize the same questions he had. However, Antony did not stop there, these human body sculptures are not just some thrown together shapes. These bodies share the exact same body index as Gormley. They are Gormley! Placed all around the world, showing people his questions in such a dramatic way; Antony’s sculptures are distinct because they are a representation of reality.…

Science has made many leaps forward throughout the centuries, bringing the world advancements it has never imagined. People may argue the negatives and positives of science these days and centuries ago it was no different. During the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the works and findings of scientists were greatly influenced by the approval of political figures due to their desire for power and monetary gain, the support and understanding received by influential religious personages and the downfalls of society regarding disorganization of research and a preset view of gender roles.…
