The Lost Boys of Sudan did the incomprehensible to survive by fighting off terrorizing animals like hyenas, lions, and crocodiles. Traveling through thousands of miles day and night, forced to drink their urine to keep hydrated and to eat carcass daily.
People have been noted for living through this kind of crisis and never ceasing. In addition, there are more cases like this, and perhaps incomparable
to The Lost Boys of Sudan. Tenacious people like Aron Ralston are the most intrepid people on the face of this planet. Having your arm stuck under a canyon with just a small bottle of water and a camera sounds horrendous!
Some of the stories sound way too fortuitous, it seems uncanny and unbelievable to me. Tons of rescue stories from being stuck in the middle of an ocean, or in the wilderness! It just seems like these people are the luckiest in the world for surviving that.
Of course, experienced hikers or nature-lovers are the best at surviving because they know most of their surroundings, but I disregard that fact because almost all the stories are from people getting rescued by supplied forces who just happen to arrive at the right time and place.
In conclusion, I think survival stories are spectacular for their likelihood of what it is. I give courtesy for good ones those who underwent it.
