Animal Cruelty Definitions
1- Animal cruelty:
-Animal cruelty is when someone abusing or hurting an animal
- Animal abuse is mostly by man younger than 30 and women older than 60.
2-some type of abusing -neglect: when don’t provide any care to animals that they are in charge of.
-animal fighting: is when people let two or more animals fight each other for fun.
-shooting: we might need to hunt sometimes to feed ourselves, but what I’m talking about is hunting for fun
-Hoarding: is having more than normal number of pets at home with having the ability to take care of them.
3- Most common victims:
-most of victims are dogs of about 61%.
-cats came to the second place of almost 18% of the victims.
-21% of victims are other animals.
4-animal in zoo:
-None of us will
choose to be captive in a cage even if you they will afford you the best food and care, so animals are.
-Zoos can’t provide sufficient space that animals need.
-Animals suffer in zoos, they don’t feed them well.
-Animals die prematurely in zoos, African elephants in the wild live more than three times as long as those kept in zoos.
5- The zoo and the domestic environment aren’t the only places where animal abuse takes place. A large amount of animal cruelty cases are related to factory farming. Our next group member Haozhang is going to shine a light on that issue.
