As Jochen Zeitz once said, “If we bring together the right people, communities can flourish and wildlife can survive alongside them.”The right people are biologists who work with animals and I want to be that right person who helps save animals.Wildlife biologists have many parts such as training and education, the work environment, and the salary of a wildlife biologist.Wildlife biologists is the career I want to have and I know that if I become one “communities will flourish and wildlife can survive alongside…

The Anti-Cruelty Group is split up into different divisions to break down the range of complications in the world of animal abuse. The seven areas of the group are Field Investigators and Response, Humane Law Enforcement, Forensic Sciences and Anti-Cruelty Projects, ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, Anti-Cruelty Behavior Team, Government Relations, Legal Advocacy, and Strategy and Campaigns. A specific crew known as Field Investigators keep in contact with businesses, organizations, and law enforcement in order to acquire a net of safety to provide the needs of a situation. They also handle confirmation from crimes as well as the people involved. The Forensic Science and Anti-Cruelty Projects Group accords tutelage to inform the citizenry of animal rights. The ASPCA Rehabilitation Center focuses on animals that need help becoming gregarious. These are pets and animals that may have come from harsh situations or environments. The focus is on overcoming trauma. The Behavior Team works closely with the Rehabilitation Center to suggest a proper plan for these animals. Government Relations takes action to contrive laws and bills concerning the well-being of animals. Then Legal Advocacy comes in and supports and assists the cases. The ASPCA accommodates a group dedicated to raising…

Within this research paper is going to be the discussion of the history, requirements, such as skills and training needed, and aspects of the career explored. The career that was chosen to be researched, and I am personally interested in pursuing is that of an Animal Care Technician. If someone appreciates earth’s beautiful creatures and desires to help them, if they don’t mind getting a little messy, working hard, and have the itch to be depended on, then this may be the right job for them as well. Let’s do a basic analyzation of the job of information that may be wanted or needed to be known, for those considering applying for the job.…
A personal experience that sparked my interest in the pursuit of a veterinary science degree was when I was eight years old. My mother brought home a small injured puppy that she found abandoned on the side of a busy street. I remember how scared he was, and how very fragile he seemed. She tried to make him as comfortable as possible until we could get him to the veterinary office the following day. He slept in a box, padded with blankets, next to my mom's bed. He would cry each time he moved. I slept in my mom's bed that night so that I could be close to him.…
Red Bank, NJ –Friday morning after suspicious allegations of animal cruelty and brutal murder of a pet dog were made by a local neighbours police searched and examined the storage locker of Ed Boone. “We came upon a more sinister and grotesque display, I could not even comprehend what I was looking at when that door was lifted”, said Officer Paul MacKelly one of the members on the investigation team.…
For many years I have struggled with a career choice. I have known for quite some time that I wanted to do something with animals but I wasn’t sure what that was. When I began my freshman year in college I was on the line of whether I wanted to be a full on Veterinarian or get a degree as a Veterinary Technician. Now, with the end of my freshman year approaching, I have decided to be a Veterinary Technician. Although some believe that a career as a Veterinarian is better, I believe a career as a Veterinary Technician is good because salaries are decent, it doesn’t require as much schooling, and helping animals is very satisfying to animal lovers like me.…
Perhaps the most important thing to take into consideration is how you feel about animals. Though the field of animal care is exciting and rewarding, working with animals requires patience, compassion, flexibility and a lack of squeamishness. Appreciating and loving animals is not enough. You must be genuinely invested in and intrigued by animals' behaviors, physical…

We all have an idea of what animal cruelty is but how much are you truly aware of this harmful abuse? Everyday animals are being beaten, neglected, and forced to struggle for survival. They are sometimes left in unsanitary conditions with no food or water, they have little hope as they live their days without the compassion they deserve. Some are found and rescued given the chance to experience how great life and humans can be; others aren't so lucky. Animal abuse affects us in many ways: it’s bad for our animals; it affects not only the animal but those who witness it. These animal abusers are criminals. To grow as a nation we must fight for these abused animals’ rights. It is up to us to speak for the animals that lack a voice, who will, if we won’t?…
Animal abusers are heartless people who don’t deserve to live life with their crimes unnoticed. Lisa Weisberg, senior vice president of government affairs for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says, "If you treat animal abuse as a $50 fine and a slap on the wrist, people won't take it very seriously” (Kenna 1). Charging the abusers only a small fine is just not strict enough. This form of punishment does not fit the crime or prevent it from happening again. American people need to recognize animal abuse as the serious crime that it is and the consequences of these actions. The United States should establish a national animal abuse registry in order to decrease acts of animal abuse.…
Animal cruelty investigators can be employed by cities, humane societies, animal shelters, states, and law enforcement agencies. They are detectives but for animals that are being abused, neglected, and abandoned. That includes cats, dogs, rodents, rabbits, birds, reptiles, livestock, and horses. Animals cruelty investigators usually are investigating animal cruelty claims, interviewing people, interrogating suspects, getting search and seizure warrants, catching and removing stray or abused animals for unsafe homes, moving the animals to shelter or veterinary offices, recording the living conditions of the animals, organizing adoptions, educating the public about animals welfare, and so much more.…
The US National Institute of Health spends $14 billion out of their $31 billion annual budget on animal researching(Humane Society International; Conlee; US National Institutes of Health). Animal testing has become a very controversial topic to discuss. Experimenting on animals is cruel because even though there are alternative ways to test people still believe that testing on the animals is a better way to do things. Acts of cruelty against the animals, and the fact that animals are different from humans seem to be big issues in the controversy. There are alternative ways to test for products other than testing the animals. There have been horrible acts of animal cruelty that violates the Animal Welfare Act’s laws, and the last…
