Veterinary Career Research Paper
Science plays a major role in my career as a veterinarian. A veterinarian is basicly a medical doctor, that helps and cures animals scientifically. Vets will have to use their biology,pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, biochemistry and immunology skills and knowledge to determine the diagnoses and perform surgery on animals correctly. It takes about nine to ten years to become an official licensed vet. It takes longer than normal doctors because vets have to learn every anatomy of each animal that they’ll cure. Everything that the vet is performing on the animal is always related to science.

I will take a classes for animal science, since it’s required to be a vet. They’re are many TEKS when taking classes of animal science. In animal science, there is nutrition in human and animal health, animal anatomy and physiology, animal nutrients, sources of nutrients, classification of feed material, healthful envirements for animals, veterinary services,. And many more.
All veterinarians need to earn a Doctor of veterinarian Medicine and a license to take care and diagnose animals. The major i have chosen to be a veterinarian is animal science, since I feel like that major is more important to take for my veterinary career. Since i am already taking a lot of classes for my veterinary career, it would really be helpful in the future when i take classes which are more in depth of helping animals.
It is strictly important to know that these subjects are important in my career. These subjects are suppose to help me and guide me through the functions of the animal systems, the diseases that each animal can get, the conditions that they live in, and the mostly the anatomy of each animal that’s in them. Some veterinary practitioners even go on to offer their services to organizations like public zoos or animal sanctuaries for the larger species of animal who require special attention. The need of every animal is different and during your studies, you will be trained in the proper techniques to administer quality healthcare to all animals in need.Veterinary scientists, technologists and technicians, as well as obedience trainers and even pet groomers, play a vital role in the maintenance and healthcare of pets, zoo animals, and livestock. In addition to meeting the healthcare and maintenance needs of animals, some individuals working in veterinary science use their skills to research diseases that also affect humans. For example, veterinary research played a significant role in conquering diseases such as yellow fever and malaria, and in understanding human heart disease, organ transplant procedures, and a variety of drug therapies.
Perhaps the most important thing to take into consideration is how you feel about animals. Though the field of animal care is exciting and rewarding, working with animals requires patience, compassion, flexibility and a lack of squeamishness. Appreciating and loving animals is not enough.
