Chapter 1: * Mr. Jones the owner of the farm stumbles to bed drunk after forgetting to secure his farm buildings properly. * All animals meet in the barn to hear old Major’s speech( the prize boar of the farm) * Old major preaches what he has learned throughout his life. He talks about how his fellow animals have miserable lives. He blames their suffering on the humans. * Old major tells the animals of a dream he had. He dreamt of a world in which animals lives without the leadership of men: they are free, happy, well fed, and treated with dignity. * He tells the animals to one day make this dream a reality. The precept that will alow animals to determine who their comrades are: creatures that walks on two legs are enemies, those with four legs or with wings are allies. Once humans are defeated, animals must never adopt any of their habits: they must not live in a house, sleep in a bed, wear clothes, drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, touch money, engage in trade, of tyrannize another animal. * Old major teaches the animals “beast of England”
Chapter 2 * Three night later old major dies in his sleep, and for three months the animal secretly devise plans to carry out the old pig’s dying wish. The organizing falls to the pigs, the cleverest of the animals. * They formulate the principles of a philosophy called Animalism * Mr. Jones goes on a drinking binge and forgets to feed the animals. The animals decide that they cannot bear it no longer and turn on the men, attack them, and easily chase them from the farm. * The animals hurry to destroy the last remaining evidence of their subservience: chains, bits, halters, whips, and other implements stored in the farm buildings. Animals sing “beasts of England” seven times to celebrate their victory.The group agrees to preserve the farmhouse as a museum. * Change sign of farm from manor far to Animal farm, paint the seven commandments of the side of the barn.
