I started my first job at 14 years old. I was a receptionist and entry-level accountant. The training was all on the job; there was no pay exchanged. After a period of time, my performance was of such high standard that I was offered a paid position doing what I had been trained. This was a position created just for me. I felt honored and privileged.
From here, I moved on to many, varied positions; there is not many business and office related skills that I have not attempted. Over the next three years, I went back to school to earn a degree in Criminal Justice and put myself through the police academy. After graduating the Police Academy, I was hired by the police department where I had been working as a Reserve Officer.
After learning that my first husband abused the children we had together, I resigned from the police department. I was not able to handle being a police officer for the public when my own home needed an on-duty officer and my children needed a full time mom. Life as a police officer was my passion and career of a lifetime. That is where I belong and nothing since has filled the hole in my heart. Sometime in the future, I will return to law enforcement.
Since 2011, I have been a stay at home mom, teacher, and student myself; I homeschool my three boys. I have volunteered for various positions in the community and take part in local community events with my family. In September 2014, I was offered a paid position for a private enterprise where I volunteered time. I work three days a week and love
