Questions About What You Learned
Your Answers
What are the most important concepts or processes you learned in this workshop?
I learned to navigate my way through the new classroom. I already understood how to work Riverpoint Writer and the basics about Phoenix, but now I have learned how to work my way through the new interactive syllabus and discussions.
How will you apply these concepts in your educational, personal, or professional pursuits?
I will be using these new concepts to navigate my way in a better manner. This new classroom is going to make everything easier to do because I won’t have to worry about having so many tabs open, losing my place, and having to constantly jump back and forth to get an assignment done. This will be especially helpful for my Masters class since it is going to require so much more research.
What other thoughts and observations would you like to add?
I’m excited about starting this new classroom and nervous about starting my Master classes. The fact that I was able to complete a workshop prior to that class starting has taken a weight off my shoulders. At least I won’t have to worry about a new classroom setting in addition to a new class.

I would say that I felt more confident working with small groups or in the one-to-one scenario, rather than when I was in front of the whole class, being observed. For example,I was given ten minutes to introduce the idea of making stands for mdf mirrors that they were in the process of finishing. They had to design their stand in 2d design, which I had spent two nights trying to work out and still needed the…

I learned that detail is important to a story, that the setting is crucial, and that the opening paragraph is important. I also got to refine the writing skills I had prior to the assignment. Skills I have and displayed are creativity, through my story plot and the ability of keeping the reader interested in my story, through my use of imagery and detail. In the future, I hope to turn the lessons I learned into major strengths, in my writing. I also hope to further the strengths I already have and to do better with my grammar and spelling in the first draft. I can’t wait for the next creative writing…
