"The Story of an Hour." Vogue. 6 Dec. 1894: n. pag. Print.
The Writer: Kate Chopin is an American author. She wrote two novels, and over 100 short stories after her husband passed away in 1882. She specialized in writing short, dramatic stories.
The Publication: The short story “The Story of an Hour”, was first written in Vogue Magazine, in its issue of December 6, 1894, under the title "The Dream of an Hour." On January 5, 1895, Sue V. Moore, a journalist friend of Chopin, reprinted the story in “St. Louis Life”, a newspaper of which Moore was editor. Over the years, it was republished again and again in literature anthologies under the title "The Story of an Hour." The intended readers were an intellectual audience. Kate wanted to make you think.

"When College Is A Means To An End." Diverse: Issues In Higher Education 27.21 (2010): 20. Education Research Complete. Web. 13 Oct. 2014
The Author: The author was an article writer for school newpapers, news reports, and public newpapers.
The Publication: This newspaper article was published in 2010. It is a reliable source because it is coming from a news article.
The Summary: This article discusses that the number of unemployed college graduates seeking work has hit an all-time high, and it’s even more than the number of high-school dropouts looking for job.
The Stance: Being that this is a primarily investigative piece, Mrs. Kessler seems to refrain from holding a stance on the issue. Overall though, it can be assumed that she believes in the need for an updated issue analysis as time goes on.
The Use: This is a useful article because it provides an in-depth analysis of the current situation of college graduates searching for jobs. It is provided to let people realize just beacuse you attend college, doesn 't mean you are going to get a job right away. Sometimes finding a job that suits your degree is harder than finding a regular job.
