The third clash between these wealthy rivals
The Montague and Capulet families art the same in wealth and status. However, they art sworn enemies in our city. So far, there hast been 2 fights between the two families, each for a different reason.
The cause of this fight has not yet been concluded. However, a few witnesses suggested that the Capulet’s servants, Gregory and Sampson were involved. A few civils state that they saw the two servants biting their thumb at one of the Montagues servants: Abraham, or Abram. These men began to assail, but were stopped by a kinsmen to the Montagues, known as Benvolio.
Soon, the nephew of Montague, Tybalt, entered the quarrel. He urged to fight instead of remaining peace, as he was known to be pugnacious. Soon this battle involved Capulet and Montague. Their wives tried to create peace among the men, but could not change their minds.
Before anyone could kill another person, Prince Escalus “crashed” the event. He demolished the battle and chided the families for once again, disturbing the peace of Verona. He stated if they, once again ruin the peace between the people of Verona, they shalt pay the price of life.
Ere the prince hadst left to speak to the Capulets, we spoke to him. “They hast thrice disturbed peace in our city and marry I shalt take their lives hadst they start another scene in this town.” Later on in the day, we met with Prince Escalus once again to understand what will happen. “I have said my words with Capulet, allowing me that if again a brawl does break out because of them, I shalt hast the ability to execute both families in town. I will be speaking to Montague and family about these terms, which he’ll have to accept.”
For what we know, the son of Montague, Romeo, was not present during this battle and possibly not hast marked about the quarrel. I’ll tell ye, ye shouldst be careful ere another brawl breaks out.
