1. List Anthony's primary and secondary needs:
Primary: food, shelter, clothing, water, money.
Secondary: support, safety, respect, happiness, security.
2. Describe how work, for Anthony, meets the needs outlined in Maslow's hierarchy of needs:
a) Physiological needs: Work provides money for physiological needs such as food, shelter, water, and clothing.
b) Safety and security: Anthony's wok provides a safe and secure environment, also financial and long term career security.
c) Love and belonging: After nine years of service Anthony would have built friendships and gained a sense of belonging.

6. Describe how the steps of the management process may be applied to this situation:
Plan, do, check, act/ or evaluate, plan, organise, implement.
Evaluate- His state of wanting a career change. Evaluating occurs at every stage.
Planning- Setting the goal of changing careers. Prioritise it, is this an immediate change or can I keep waiting? Setting standards, do I have limitations or preferences on the new job I want?
Organising- How can he achieve his goal? Through resources such as friends, family, newspapers etc. What he wants, a preferred industry or particular job. When does he want it by?, is there a set time frame or a casual change.
Implementing- After evaluating, planning and organising his goal he can put his plan into action.
7. What resources may have assisted Anthony in obtaining and maintaining his current job?
Human resources- Friends, family, ambition, initiative, qualifications, commitment, encouragement.
Non-human resources- Income, educational institutions
