Abstract
Humans especially for those who live in dirty community are prone to get disease such as cholera, diarrhea, fever and many more because there is an unseen specimen called bacteria. Bacteria such as e-coli and staphylococcus are the most common bacteria that can cause illness to mankind. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) 3 out of 10 people are infected by bacteria that cause various diseases.
This study was conducted to determine the anti-bacterial properties of duhat bark extract and it’s fighting ability against various types of bacteria.
The bark of duhat is reported to have the capacity to treat wounds and be used as a astringent wash. It is also said that the bark of duhat is used for sore throats, indigestion, appetite loss, leucorrhea, bronchitis, asthma, ulcers and dysentery. Its extract has been found to have pleasing results about fighting bacteria because it contains flavonoids.
This study can help people who live in dirty surroundings where in the number of bacteria is very high. This research aims to help people by finding an alternative source of anti-bacterial.
