Apple Inc. is a well known American multinational corporation that focusing on designing and then marketing consumer electronics, computer software, and personal computers. Apple Inc. was established on 1st April 1976 in Cupertino, California. The company was founded by the key persons in Apple Inc. history, Steven Paul Jobs (Steve Jobs) and Stephen Wozniak (Steve Wozniak) and Ronald Wayne.
Then, after seeing the potential and the future of the computing world, Apple was incorporated 3rd January 1977 without Ronald Wayne, who sold his share of the company back to both Jobs and Wozniak for $800. During the incorporation of Apple, another person that responsible for the incorporation of the company is a multi-millionaire, Mike Markkula which provided essential business expertise and funding of $250,000.
The company was previously known as Apple Computer, Inc. This had gone for over the first 30 years, but then they removed the word "Computer" on January 9, 2007. This action was to reflect on its’ ongoing expansion into the consumer electronics market, rather than its traditional business which focus on personal computers. As of September 2010, Apple had 46,600 full time employees and 2,800 temporary full time employees worldwide and had worldwide annual sales of $65.23 billion (Wikipedia, 2011). As a prove of this, Fortune magazine has named Apple as the most admired company in the United States for the year 2008, as well as in the world in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
PRODUCTS
Until today, Apple has come out with various types of products. These include desktop computers, portable computers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA), servers, printers, and software. Moreover, apart from computer-related products, Apple had also invested in producing other products such as portable music player, smart phones and tablet computer. However, due to many internal and external circumstances, the company had discontinued multiple products and just few of it.
