The Probable readers in terms of age would probably be students ranging from 18-30 years old who are both male and female, with maybe one or two years of college education. The most difficult part about the text is all of the numbers because of the many statics the essay talks about. I think the audience would assume that the authors have never attended community college for education, nor do they believe that just because you go to college you will ultimately have a better life. More likely because of their own background and the impressive amount of evidence to coincide with the argument, you really can not disagree. However, the authors are very bias when it comes to a four year degree. Graduates of associate's degrees may not make as much money as most students with a bachelor's degree, but they do get along just fine in life. The writer clearly explains a variety of aspects to look at when it comes to why or why not people go to college. The writers seem to have written this essay because they want to make people aware of the precautions while going to college. Not many people are aware of the many difficulties that occur while attending college. While some reasons could be the cost, the time it takes, personal circumstances and motivation to go. I think the writer has experienced going through college and certain circumstances.
