Argumentative Essay On Mars Life
Earth as an ecosystem stands out in the all of the universe. There's no place that we know about that can support life as we know it, not even our sister planet, Mars, where we might set up housekeeping someday, but at great effort and trouble we have to recreate the things we take for granted here. Sylvia Earle believed that Mars could not support life but is there life? She said that no place that we know about can support life and that included Mars. A lot of people think the opposite and believe there is life on Mars but I do not. How can a planet that only has rock have life? There is no life on Mars.

A picture taken by the rover named Curiosity showed that a bone looking object was on Mars. The conspiracists believe that the object is a bone meaning there is life on Mars but Nasa said “Mars never had enough oxygen in its atmosphere and elsewhere to support more complex organisms. Thus, large fossils are not likely.” If there was not enough Oxygen how could this object actually be a bone when one of the main ingredients to life is Oxygen. That rock could have been shaped like a bone through years of erosion, wind, or water. The bone is just a rock and not anything else.

Some people believed that the face was created by aliens but when they zoomed in on the rock it was just a rock formation. That rock formation was even similar to a rock formation found on Earth. The face could have also been a trick of the light. There is also research that shows that people usually see faces in objects so that could be a reason why people see one on Mars. A scientist named Watanabe said “...people have gotten so used to seeing faces everywhere that sensitivity to them is high enough to produce constant false positives.” and that means that people see faces so much that they see it in objects

Some scientists believe there was life on Mars due to a number of factors. For one we know there was at one point a substantial amount of liquid water when the planet was much younger. We also know Mars’s electromagnetic field has dampened, making it more susceptible to interstellar heat and radiation, thus eliminating the life that could have existed. There are also other several factors including volcanic activity and evidence of salt oceans.…

Sometimes when people think about the calming sound of a night-time melody, the catchy beat of a popular song, or simply the words in a poem that captures how you feel and you can perfectly relate to. What comes to mind when we mention a poem? Usually what people think or what people’s thoughts go to, are emotions and rhyme. I think it takes a little more of each person’s perspective into the situation, not only the writer’s but also the reader’s perspective, which is what gives that extra spark to the piece. The literary element that is the most important to bring a poem to life is imagery; it would help the reader…

The article The Martian Chroniclers a new era of planetary exploration by Burkhard Bilger discusses Earth and Mars known as the “Goldilocks Planets,” this is because Earth and Mars both have the perfect environment for life to be sustained. I was first observed that Mars had evidence that it could sustain life in 1877, by the astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli. Schiaparelli drew a map of mars as an “earthly paradise.” This was because he observed that the planet had what appeared to be continents and water channels on the surface. Although, it was discovered that Mars has less water contents then earth’s driest desert. Nevertheless, because of Mar’s atmosphere and geological environment Mars has the possibly that it can sustain life. NASA has sent many space crafts to explore what is on Mars the first was the Mariner 9 then, Viking 1 and Viking 2, the…

All of the planets in our solar system with the exception of Earth are named after Roman Gods Mercury is the god of travel and thievery in Roman mythology. The planet is probably named after this god because it moves quickly across the sky. Venus is the Roman goddess of love and beauty. Venus is undoubtedly named after her because it makes a beautiful sight in the sky. Earth is the only planet whose English name does not come from Greek/Roman mythology. Mars is the Roman god of War. The planet probably got this name due to its red color. Jupiter is the King of the Gods in Roman mythology, making the name a good choice for what is, by far the largest planet in our solar system. Saturn is the Roman god of agriculture. Uranus is the ancient Greek god of the Heavens, the earliest supreme god.…

Mars has no liquid water on its surface because its atmospheric pressure is too low. Instead the surface only looks similar to places like California’s Mohave Desert and different volcanic places in the Hawaiian islands. Its surface looks reddish from iron oxide, is mostly rocky and barren with no signs of organisms yet, and its air is mostly carbon dioxide. It also has massive dust storms. The only place there might be water is trapped in its polar ice caps. Earth on the other hand abounds with vegetation, life, water, and oxygen due to our atmosphere and relative distance to the sun. Mars is also about half the size of Earth, and its mass is much smaller, making its gravity much weaker as well. Mars does not have plate tectonics like Earth. Because it’s mantle stays fixed, hotspots remain in the same position which is why it develops the largest volcanoes in the solar system, such as Olympus Mons.…

An expensive trip to Mars in a small rocket with malfunctioning technology sounds great… right? Valuable resources being used for a trip that might fail. Competition between other countries for the power of this trip. Even though Mars is a great place for scientific discoveries, is it worth it? People should not spend valuable resources to go to Mars because of how the technology might fail and how grueling the trip would be.…

Earth seems finely tuned so we can exist. It's the perfect distance from the sun for mild temperatures and liquid water, it has a protective giant, Jupiter, nearby to keep rogue asteroids from hitting us - all key requirements for intelligent life to evolve. But the Earth is not fine-tuned. The galaxy is teeming with at least 100 billion planets. By chance alone, there will be at least one fit for intelligent life. In a multiverse teeming with universes, there will be at least one that's suited to us.…

NASA does a “lot of different things” including looking for extraterrestrial life (NASA budget cuts, 2013). NASA has been on a mad hunt to try and find new life. A big accomplishment for NASA is that they have been able to find old microorganisms on Mars. This suggests that there has once been life on Mars. They are trying their hardest to try and get people living Mars. They have set up a program that allows people to sign up to live on Mars.…

What does a planet need to have in order to support life? Earth is unique in our solar system because it is the only planet that is supporting life. Some scientists go so far as to say that the Earth is a “perfect planet” because it has features that are the perfect environment for living organisms; these features include our atmosphere, water, and a single moon. Earth is also in a place in our solar system where the Sun gives off the right amount of energy to drive the life. The distance from the Earth to the Sun determines how much of that heat we receive. If it weren’t for our ozone layer and Earth’s magnetic field, harmful rays would penetrate our surface and life would be exterminated. Everything the Earth has to offer us is balanced perfectly to keep life continuous.…

This is a topic that brings controversy because we are always closer to find that supposed life in other planets. Let's go to the first question that we made, do you believe we are alone in the universe? i think all days we are closer to find life because of the great advance that we had on technology in the past 15 years. If it were not for the advances of technology we would not have discovered that there is water on Mars. Now scientist think that as there is water, so it can be marine life. These is a great advance in these subject because now we can planned a mission to go to Mars to look for…
