“ O Romeo, Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo” (Act II scene ii 33). We have all heard this famous line from Shakespeare's most famous story The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet from someone or somewhere. Did you know that most this tragedy is still a relevant piece of our society today? Most people don’t notice how much the tragedy of these two young lovebirds still will relate to our society today. The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet doesn’t only happen in some people’s life today, but we use this tragedy as an example for us to learn from and hopefully change the lives of people in a positive way.
A real life story of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet has been reported by the Latin Post. They had reported that a young couple had jumped in front of a train committing suicide. The couple was said to be having problems at home because the daughter’s family did not approve of their relationship and the girl’s mother even said that she didn’t want the boyfriend living with all of them and she didn't like him. This disapproval of the mother represents in the original tragedy because in it the Capulet’s and Montague's had disliked each other leaving a feud between the two families. The mother’s dislike of the boy had led the two into committing suicide because it had kept the two from being with each other, it’s just like the problem with Romeo and Juliet and their families’ feud.
