One question that is often asked, yet the answer varies, is what is a ‘True American Hero?’ Everyone has a different opinion on what a ‘True American Hero’ is. Personally, I believe that a ‘True American Hero’ is a person who would lay down their life for someone or people who they have never met; a person who has shown incredible courage even when they were scared to death. Kyle said, “You don’t think of the people you kill as people. … They rule by putting terror in the hearts of innocent people.” He would often say that he did not consider himself to be a hero, that he was a regular guy in the right spots at the right times. Interviews with his relatives only show the determination that Chris Kyle had.
