Argumentative Essay On Why Dogs Are Better Than Cats

I have decided to address one of the most controversial topics. Are dogs better than cats? This topic has been highly deliberated by both dog and cat lovers. I am arguing that dogs are better than cats. Dogs are better than cats because dogs can lead to people having more social interactions, a dog’s sense of smell can be life-saving, and dogs can prevent allergies.
Dogs help people to have more social interactions. Scientific studies show that dogs enhance feelings, two studies were conducted to show the robustness of this enhancement. The two tests concluded that a person walking down a street with a dog was more likely to strike up a conversation with another person due to the dog being social. This is compared to people who are cat people who just tend to ogle at other people walking down the street instead of talking to them. Dogs also can smell very well.
A dog’s sense of smell can save the lives of people. They can track missing persons. They can also sniff out bombs and drugs. New studies have also shown that dogs can sniff out certain cancers. Scientists discovered that a dog
can find bladder cancer by sniffing a person's urine. One out of every seven dogs was able to sniff out bladder cancer. This proves dogs were able to sniff out volatile compounds in urine that suggest bladder cancer before patients saw symptoms. This suggested having an effect that believes that dogs sniff out cancer by accuracy and not chance. All cats do are stare at someone and then go back to sleeping. Other than sniffing out dangerous health problems, dogs can also help children prevent allergies and asthma later on.

The dust contains bacteria that can affect the human's airway to target certain allergens. They did an experiment on mice where a group of mice was exposed to dogs while the other group was not. Afterwards, the researchers put both groups of mice in allergy-inducing conditions. The group that was exposed to dogs proved to have less of an allergy attack that the ones who were not exposed to dogs. On the contrary, cats actually cause allergies for certain people. This group of people who are allergic to cats includes me. From first-hand experience being allergic to cats is terrible. They are not healthy to be around most of the time. Cats cause me to break out in itchy blisters on my fingers that do not go down unless I use medicine. Dogs do not me break out and that goes for a lot of other
people.

Dogs can relieve stress and be a better companion than cats. Cats have also been revealed to be the spawn of satan. They are that because they will claw at, bite, and cause itchy blisters to their owners. Dogs are a better choice than cats. Unless somebody wants to be anti-social and beat up by an animal that has no compassion in their eyes. I hope my case was made very clearly and convinces more people to buy a dog.
