Why Cats Are Better Than Dogs
When it comes to picking between cats and dogs, most people would choose dogs. Some people do not like cats because of the bad reputation they receive from owners or strangers; bad temper and they are not as affectionate like a dog. I don't think that is true. I think both cats and dogs are affectionate and caring once you give them a chance but which animal is more caring? Cats and dogs have different personality traits, but let's see which animal is more affectionate. Dogs are known to be man's best friend. They are loving, caring, and are always protective over their owner. Some people say when you have a newborn in your home a dog will pretend the baby is theirs and will protect the baby forever. That seems nice of a dog to do this, but …show more content…
They can be loving and caring but most of the time they want to be on their own. That doesn't mean that they don't care or love you. Even though a cat may show less affection than a dog, a cat loves you as much as a dog does. Cats are just as cute and adorable as a dog or just any other animal. Just like dogs, cats love to be with their owner and believe it or not they also enjoy a nice belly rub. One thing that some people do not know about cats is that when a cat is purring at you or walking around you, it is thanking you for being in their life. A dog may not be able to purr to tell you thank you, but they also love you for being in their life as well. Most people believe that a cat is just an animal that doesn't care about their owner. That also is not true. Cats are known to check up on humans when they are asleep because they want to make sure you are still breathing. Can a dog do this? Dogs do not check up on you during your sleep, but if something is happening to you they will make sure to bark as loud as they can get someone's attention. I think both cats and dogs are affectionate and caring once you give them a chance. Which animal shows most affection? Both animals do, a cat just chooses to show affection less. Both animals love you and will always protect you over any danger. Cats may have a bad reputation because of people that do not like cats, but they are loving and caring just like a dog or any other

Behaviour in pets can tell you a lot about what they are feeling, and they’re different mannerisms can help you find out what they need. And this is how humans and their pets coexist in a household. For instance; Which way a dog wags its tail and the speed in which he does it, can tell what he is feeling, depending on the situation it’s in. British anthrozoologist John Bradshaw in Cat Sense states that, "An upright tail is probably the clearest way cats show their affection for us" (McCaffery). A raised tail is also usually a sign of friendliness toward another cat. The opposite, of course, is when cats lower and thrash their tails. It generally means they're irritated and dislike something that's occurring around them. The relationship you form with your pets is something only you two share. Different ways dogs and cats let themselves be heard in a household, is original to that particular household. And it forms a human to pet connection that only you two…

Dogs are better then cats because dogs are more obedient and do more things then cats. For example, dogs can be taught to retrieve and put away items or objects of your choice. They also have a lot of excitement, they are incredible friendly if you teach them properly, and they actually do something good for you other then sitting around and being cute. Dogs need to be potty trained but so do cats need to be potty trained. Cats can have incredibly destructive habits. Dogs can too but in this case with dogs you can actually do something and teach the dogs to not rip the couch apart, or if they do then they get a punishment.
