Argumentative Essay On Zoos
Throughout decades zoos have caught the eyes of the public interest. But do they actually know what zoos are and what the animals needs actually are. I know that every family enjoys a day out, and that zoos are a common hotspot for trips. I myself have a collection of reptiles I enjoy having. Zoos look great on the outside but what are they really. We will discuss the good and the bad about zoos, along with how the animal adapts, also the difference between wild and man made habitats, including the animals diets and the effects it has on the animal.
Zoo’s can be helpful to animals around the world. Zoos can be used to protect species that are going extinct. For example pandas are now almost extinct. Now nearly all pandas are in captivity

Grasslands spread across the earth and make up to twenty-five to thirty percent of this planet(Marlene Weigel vol.2). The most common grassland is known as the savanna. The largest savanna covers 5,000,000 square miles in africa(vol 2). They are usually found around the center of the earth called the equator. The savanna grassland has a climate that brings very wet rainy seasons in the summer. The average summer temperature is slightly above eighty degrees fahrenheit. The temperature drops into the mid sixties during the winter(vol 2). The rainfall in the summer is great because grasslands require ten to fourteen inches of rain every year. The downfall is that droughts do happen often. If a drought last for a long period of time the grassland will turn into a desert. For this reason is why rainfall is critical for grassland to abstain life. Animals life in the grasslands is great. Most large reptiles are found in the tropical grasslands. They survive there because they can hide in the tall grasses. The grasses can range up to thirty-three to forty-three feet in height.
The third most often place for exotic animals is rain forest. The rainforest comes in third because it is usually hard to get to the animal's habitat to capture it. Most of the animals in the rainforest are poisonous. For example most if not all frogs from the rain forest are poisonous. It is hard for zoos to recreate any of these

Stampeding elephants rushing through verdant fields. Slithering snakes creeping along the Amazon floor. Gazelles grazing through the undisturbed prairie. SNAP, the feasting wolf captured the innocent gazelle as it devours it alive, then scrimmaging through the bones for any extra meat of the gazelle that is no more. Sadly, this is a true reality, and in zoos, animals are completely safe and don’t take the risk of being eaten alive each and every day. This world needs zoos for reasons such as: protection, conservation, education, and research.…

Zoos appear to be fun, but as you get more in depth are they what they seem to be? If animals could talk they would answer that question with “no” but, they cannot. So, instead of them telling you the horrors of zoos, I will. In zoos, animals are forced to live in a small area and have to learn to adapt to a new lifestyle. Some animals suffer from serious problems that they would most likely not experience if they were not in a zoo. I, like many children, have been to zoos when I was younger. Upon visiting zoos, I have decided that zoos are very cruel to keep animals caged up, often in regions and climates very different from their natural habitat. For example, elephants travel for miles in packs, when in zoos there are only several elephants with only several acres to walk around.…
