I researched about savanna biome and I have found this really interesting. In this paper I'm going to talk about savanna climate (temperature, how much rain savanna gets per year), where the savannas are and plants and animals and how they adapt themselves to survive. The last topic I'm going to talk about how can human help savanna and how do we affect savanna.
About savanna
A savanna is a rolling grassland scattered with shrubs and isolated trees, which can be found between a tropical rainforest and desert biome. Not enough rain falls on a savanna to support forests. Savannas are also known as tropical grasslands.

Animals are trying to drink a maximum quantity of water during the wet season to be ready for the dry season to come. For example, a giraffe is able to drink 12 gallons of water at once and stock it in its neck.
Where can you find savanna
So as you can see in orange, there are some small savannas in south America and also africa is the area where there is most of the savanna in Africa.
Savanna Plants and their adaptation
There are many different grass in savanna like Rhodes grass, oats grass, and lemongrass. In trees, most of savanna adaptation are too drought . The Baobab trees has adapted to savannas biomes by only producing leaves. The leaves are very small so they can use less water. Baobab have a big truck for storing water.
Savanna Animal and Their Adaptation
Many animals have effective locomotion for long distance migration. The African elephant of tusk and a long trunk to drink adequate water. A giraffe can drink up to 12 gallons of water just from a water hole because it need water for dry season. I learned that a cheetah can start hunting at 16 months. I also learned that in the dry season it is really hard to survive for the Impala because Impalas are almost all pregnant. The top predators could eat them because Impalas are slower and they can catch them more
