Studies by John R. Lott, Jr, have shown that states that have ccw or concealed carry permits had on average an 84% decline in multiple victim shooting and deaths from these crimes have dropped by 82%. This goes to show that not all people that carry guns are going to use them for criminal purposes. One of the biggest arguments for gun enthusiasts is that even with gun control laws criminals can still easily get their hands on illegal guns. That argument holds up very well because most gun related crimes are done with unregistered firearms without serial numbers to track the guns. This should go to show that people who are correctly trained and know how to use a firearm, can deter almost half of criminal from committing potentially violent crimes. There have also been numerous cases of people that have been stopped from committing mass shooting by well trained gun enthusiasts. Most people that are against gun do not realize what could potentially happen if all guns were banned from the people of this country. If foreign invaders come into America then the citizens would not be able to properly protect themselves, if a domestic intruder comes into their homes, nobody would be able to defend their lives and possessions that they worked very hard for.
This is a basic right for all American citizens and has been a cornerstone for this country's success and triumph throughout these last few centuries. This country was founded on hard work and a sort of American pride that those first ten amendments spell out for the U.S.A. Those bill of rights were put in place to bring the country together as a whole instead of each individual government under the Articles of Confederation. That is why the second amendment as well as all the others play an essential role in the founding of this great nation and will continue to play a big role in how this country will
