Art School Objective
To be honest I have never really fully considered what the next five years of my life look liked. I guess one of the main goals I set out to do is finish college and get a BFA. However, that goal started in part of high school where I already tried to get ahead by taking college level art classes. There is still so much to do that I have not fully considered. Besides if I finished college there would still be about 3 years left out of the 5 and there is still so much that I can do. If I considered all the possibility I would like to do freelance artwork full-time as an illustrator, and of course in the process pay off college debt. Yet these goals and aspirations can already be achieved and created if I truly put my mind to it.

Currently, I’m working two jobs and in the process live at home to help with expenses while trying to save as much money as I possible to help pay off college. By living at home it is helping me get a little extra money each month to save, as I don’t have to worry about the expenses of living alone. To help my finances further, I

My problem currently is getting the knowledge of creating good illustrations and expanding my art skills, which is part of the reason why I’m going to an art school. In the long run, it will help me create a professional portfolio and help me with anatomy, which I struggle with. Something to help me out outside of college is to start drawing more and always carry a sketchbook with some type of writing material on hand, so that if I see something interesting or have interesting idea I can draw it. By doing this is will help me practice my drawing skills and come up with interesting ideas. In general, I could already start selling artwork (such as stickers) or post artwork on online websites to help get name out there. So that in long run I can get a client base that wants me to do commissions for them when I’m out of

The first art work chosen was a figure by Myron of Athens, Discobolous. The Discobolous, a Discus Thrower, is a Roman marble copy after a bronze original of 450 BCE. A picture of this piece is shown below, figure 1. This piece of art work is simply amazing and exemplifies the Greek sense of harmony and balance (Petronius, 2008). The artist depicted the statutes of that time, a male nude figure, which seems to express freedom of movement and the Greeks idea of beauty. Furthermore, this artwork exemplifies the role of the artist through a representation of human strength and values.…

The Howling Wolf’s Treaty Signing at Medicine Creek Lodge drawing has a lot less representational is nonobjective than John Taylor’s illustration. I read in this that (Sayre, H.M.) was saying something like the world of art (2010) usually has two different depictions of the Treaty Signing at Medicine Creek Lodge. This is where one illustrates a natural illusionistic art which is compared to something like convention art. This is with Sayre, H.M., posted in 2010, on the pp. 38-39, (Fig, 42). John Taylor, (1867). Taylor provided information on natural objects which these were in a form that was a more recognizable then Sayers was. I think that Wolf’s rendering is was very abstract, It would be more for a child to like because it had a lot of dimensional crayon coloring, But Wolf’s drawing does have a more honest record of the treaty signing at medicine creek lodge than Taylor’s did. Wolf also emphasizes tradition, culture, and detail in greater way than John Taylor’s illustration. And it also just told a lot more about the meaning of the painting just because of the things that was in the coloring such as woman with their hair painted, trees, creeks, and also wooded landscapes.…

The second art piece that I looked at was believed to be created by Qu Ding this hand scroll was created on silk with ink and pale colors during the 11th century of the North Song Dynasty. The hand scroll was created during a period when the images are meant to depict creation. Viewing the picture you connect with the nature as if present in the drawing, experiencing the textures that are created by the strokes and shadows that are created by the ink and pale colors used by the artist on the hand scroll. Possibly belonging to a collection this hand scroll creates balance while symbolizing an escape from life and into the world.…

Throughout the course of my junior year, I have been challenged to be the best artist of my ability. As a graphic designer, I have learned to view things in a different light and learned to express my creativity. Although I am still learning new things everyday about how to become a better artist, I have improved tremendously in every way ranging from the thought process all the way to finalizing each project, and I think that as the days go by I will continue to do well in my high school graphic design career, but in continuing my education in this major and working in a field closely related to it. I have produced at least 5 projects that reflect my passion for graphic design including the New York World’s Fair, currency recreation, and the handmade film poster from the first semester of my junior year and from the second half up until my most recent project, a book jacket, and an organic drink package design.…

My goal in life after college is to procure a well paying job in the field of my passion; visual design. As an artist in the visual design world, my intention is to be able to work closely with architects; not only making their own business more efficient, but also collaborating with them to find more economical solutions to the common problems that plague the architectural world, such as: energy efficiency and aesthetic appeal. Outside of my professional interests, I pride myself on being a compassionate young man; therefore, by finding a career in my field of choice, I hope to be able to innovate ways to provide a stable house and home for those who cannot provide it for themselves.…

It comes off a tad bit extreme or “unrealistic” but I have many goals and expectations for myself. Some people may even say I dream to big, but in my opinion no dream is ever to big and I will never stop thinking that way. My goals in life are to first complete this last year of high school with at least a 3.7-4.0 GPA. Then I’m making it my goal to get into FIDM and major in Fashion design/Product Development and double my major with Business Management. After Attending FIDM and graduating with my Associate of Arts degree and my Bachelor of Science Degree,…

Why should a person be required to take an arts course? Most school systems are requiring a fine arts course to graduate or earn their advanced diploma. Fine arts may include art, music, and or drama. Taking a fine arts class should be required because one might like it, so the classes fill up, and so one can learn the fine art that was chosen.…

Where do I see my self in five years I have many dreams and goals in my life. I had aspirations of being a doctor something I had wanted to be since I was a child. But I realize that there are so many other steps I need to take in order to achieve these so-called goals. This includes graduating from college, finding that special someone and finding that perfect job. My expectations in five years is that I see myself well educated and living my life to the fullest with my son. Now seems to be the time to start taking life seriously and making responsible and educated choices. Now I come to a crossroad in my life where I choose what to do with my future and choose what will make me happy. My plans for the future is having a great job with a loving family who’s willing to support me in my good and bad times. I have begun to realize that I have yet to begin my life everything up until now has been practice, as if I have been in a cage and it is only now that I am beginning to break free and do things for myself. I must work really hard to give my kids a better future so it will be easier for them to concentrate more in school, because without education there’s really no future for anyone. I want to be satisfied with my decisions to be able to accept and forgive, and most of all to be able to live up to the expectations I have for myself and my son. I will only accomplish my goal in being happy when I am able to live my life for myself and still able to provide love and support to…

Before I start talking about what I want in the far future I need to set short term goals before long term. Such as graduating from Ramona High School. Not only do I yearn for a high G.P.A, such as a 3.5, but I also desire to walk across the stage with my head up high knowing that I did all that I could bring forth academically advanced. Besides my academic goals, I have other goals before finishing high school. An example is finishing with a winning record on the football team I’m playing on. Currently we have winning record of 3 wins 1 lose.…

I have always known what I have wanted to do with my life, until now. I know in a general sense I want to do Graphic Design, but after college I have not the slightest idea where I want to go from there. As long as I can use my artsitic side to guide me along I'll be happy. if it takes me to magazines, fine. If it takes me to the music industry, by all means I'll gladly oblige. If it lets me use my passions to make a name for myself somehow, I'm satisfied.…
