(Gottfredson, L.S, 1997).
Capacity for learning, reasoning, understanding, and similar forms of mental activity, aptitude (ability) in grasping truths, relationships, facts, meanings, etc.
The faculty of understanding.
Knowledge of an event, circumstance, etc, received or imparted news or information.
The gathering or distribution of information, especially secret information.

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
Definition:
“Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the intelligence exhibited by machines or software, and the branch of computer science that develops machines and software with intelligence”.

“Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence of machines and the branch of computer science which aims to create it”.

Major AI researchers and textbooks define the field as "the study and design of intelligent agents” where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chances of success.

Other definitions:

John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1955, defines it as "the science and engineering of making intelligent machines."

AI is the part of computer science concerned with designing intelligent computer systems, that is, computer systems that exhibit the characteristics we associate with intelligence in human behavior.
Understanding languages, learning, reasoning,
Solving problems, and so on.
(Barr and Feigenbaum, 1981)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the branch of computer science, which concentrates on the intelligence of machines, and involves applying the principles of reasoning, knowledge planning, learning, communication, perception, and controlling objects to emulate the human brain. The most recognizable AI application is robotics from Hollywood cinema, and includes films such as; I Robot, Transformers, Wall-e, WarGames, A.I., The Terminator, Robocop, Iron Man, and Star Wars to name a few, which is fictional not an actual representation of AI. Robotics applications is only one of three aspects of AI, which also includes Cognitive Science applications, and Natural Interface applications, however, the area businesses are finding the most useful is the Cognitive Science applications (Murugavel, 2014).…

Defining what exactly AI is has become something of a challenge. Michael Webb said in an interview with David J. Parnell for Forbes (2016), “Fifty years ago, people defined AI as, for example, playing chess. Chess was seen as this quintessentially human ability that would never be approached by machines. It was almost definitional — what it meant to be intelligent was that you could play chess. Then, along came certain algorithms and it turned out that computers could play chess at least as well as humans could.” We use AI every day. Smart phones with voice recognition, self-driving vehicles, and software that can learn our preferences are all examples of AI currently in use today.…

The use of technology has always been vital to the life and survival of the human race. Ever since the Neanderthals utilized wooden tools to hunt and cook 500,000 years ago, humans have been fascinated with developing the next cutting edge technology or invention. In 1955, John McCarthy used a term called artificial intelligence, and defined it as "the science and engineering of making intelligent machines". Over the last 60 years with the inventions of computers, cell phones, and the internet, artificial intelligence has become prominent in the news and in mainstream media. Today, the phrase is a hot topic, not just in tech circles, but around the globe, as many experts believe the ensuing breakthrough will come through A.I.…

Within the realm of Artificial Intelligence there are several secs which are responsible for making up that which is A.I. Normally when an individual thinks of Artificial Intelligence a few things come to mind such as the HAL 9000 system, known as “the inimitable star of the classic Kubrick and Clarke film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’”(Picard 2001), others will think of the movie “Blade Runner”, this film featured an alternate future where a group of individuals were responsible for tracking down cyborg humans known as “Sims” which were so human like they actually were unaware that they weren’t actually humans (Scott, Fancher et al. 2007). These films come to mind because until the late 2000’s this was the closest we ever got to Artificial Intelligence…

It entails the ability to detect patterns, reason deductively and think logically. This intelligence is most often associated with scientific and mathematical thinking” (Smith, 2002, 2008). I love doing math and solving math problems. I love the challenge of new formulas. One class that I loved the most since I have been in college was physical science. It gave me the scientific investigating that I like to do with math operations that you had to plug in to figure out the scientific formulas. All of my friends talked about how I did not want this particular professor and I ended up with him. I ended loving his class and we got along very well. I think this has made me a very good problem solver in life. I am the person that all of my friends come to with problems and they all say that it seems as if I always know exactly what to say. I just think that I am a very logical thinker. I sometimes wonder why everyone else does not think the way I do. I am a logical thinker, but I am also a simple thinker. I can always seem to find the simple way of doing things verses going through many unnecessary…

The think the simplest definition for intelligence is the ability to adapt. You can tell a computer to go to a specific IP address but if IBM 's address is no longer www.ibm.com, the computer does not know how to find the new one. More specifically, it can be said that intelligence is the to take into consideration the circumstances of completing a certain task. Alan Turing, a mathematician, sought to answer the question on whether or not computers possess…
