Assignment 2: Simulation Analysis
I began year three with $1,120.28, which was more money than I have ever had in the whole simulation. The first event that took place was the government event. I was very apprehensive because we had just elected a new president, Jacob, and had new house members, so I was unsure how they would feel about the laws that we would try to pass. Jacob also started out his presidency by saying that everyone will be able to have free healthcare, even though that is impossible, so the government had to figure out a fair way to allow the most people possible to have free healthcare. We agreed that we give first 15 people that had the lowest amount of money free healthcare. The government also decided that it was legal to have two jobs. Another goal of …show more content…
The job I already had was at an energy factory owned by Jacob and he also ran the government’s new farm and agreed to hire me. I also had free healthcare from the government, because I was one of the 15 people with the least amount of money. My strategy this year was to buy everything I needed to live first and then worry about life points. I went to Sarah instead of David for my apartment, because she was charging less and I got more life points for it. I’m pretty sure that I bought 2 food units from the government. Jacob was selling the food units for cheap so the government’s plan to make competition worked. I then bought insurance also to protect me from the random events. After buying everything I needed I started to worry about life point. I purchased services, manufacturing, and entertainment to boost my life points. I thought I was finished with the event, but then I saw that Jacob had extra energy units and they are worth life points too so a few classmates and I bought the rest of the units just for the life points. As a class, we had no court cases so we went right to random events and I got $800 from rolling. I ended with 12 life points just from the market event and more money than I ever ended a year with. Even after paying our 12% income tax, I still had a good amount of …show more content…
Our country had no really competition for any businesses and it started to hurt the citizens. We then decided to change it just like the Sherman anti- trust law. After we made a law about it, I noticed how important that law is in real life and how much people would be over paying if we didn’t have it. I also think that our country started to grow as a whole, so technically you could say that the quality of life is getting better also. People had more money and could try to but more things to earn life points. This is just like when things like vacuums, radios, and cars were being built to improve life in the 20s. I can see how we worked together better when we weren’t as stressed and how people had better lives when their lives were

Solution: The update also removes the ability for this codec to be loaded when browsing the Internet with any other applications. By only allowing applications to use the Indeo codec when the media content is from the local system or from the intranet zone, and by preventing Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player from launching the codec at all, this update removes the most common remote attack vectors but still allows games or other applications that leverage the codec…

On April 17, 2011 PlayStation Network (PSN) was breached by an unauthorized source. Sony believed that the source exposed personal and password information – and possibly credit cards – of an estimated 77 million people. This is considered one of tech’s history’s worst security failures (Cooney, 2011). Due to this breach, Sony has broken many laws. The most critical laws that Sony “allegedly” broke were California SB 1386, California Law 1798.81.5, and California Law 1798.29.…

Was the Crucial Decade made a better or worst of today’s life? The Crucial Decade is based in a period of time in America from 1945-1960s which impacted America and at many other places. America was at War throughout that period of time and it was a hard time for them. They were starting to create life easier for the veterans that returned home. Out of all the changes they made many were good changes like the ending of wars, the opportunities given for jobs and a life, no violence and low prices. When I saw the problem, I first thought it was not going to be possible to solve. Meaning; that I would not solve this problem without more information. When I sent the cat over first the mouse and dog did not fight by their selves. Then whenever I sent the dog or mouse over, they would fight with the cat. I even thought about leaving the cat on the existing shore and trying to move the mouse and dog, and found that the cat fought with them there on the existing shore. My thoughts then were that there had to be a trick to this. I had a conceptual block and knew there was something else to the problem that was not mentioned in the writing [ (Morris & Maisto, 2002) ].…

I feel the reason so was because of all the changes. I feel they felt as if they picked the option of engaging in free trade, that it would clear all problems in reference to U.S industrialization. How ever in regard to business, it was booming. People were coming up with new tactics to control and get every customers money. The reason I say this is because of one act of “monopoly”. This act is basically when a company controls everything. It gives them the power and illegibility to do anything and everything they want to get money. Of course this is not good including the act of horizontal companies producing similar products joining forces. Clearly, because their bound to fail eventually. During this whole period, workers were all held accountable for keeping these processes going. It also came with a down fall which was their treatment. Their work hours were ridiculous and their bosses had no pity on their injuries they endured. Which I might add occurred a lot. However, the knight of labor, the American federation of labor and violent strikes turned this all…

Once again Professor Schmedlap has brought forward his reading program and requested it be compared with the new and old basal reading programs. Given this information, we will create the hypothesis: that there is at least one pair of means that is statistically significant. That is to say that Schmedlap's reading program will be significantly better than at least one of the other two programs. Our null hypothesis is that there is no significant difference among the means.…

A decade may sound like a short time, but in reality, many things could happen in just that one decade. One decade can totally change what happens and make a 180 degree turn of what was happening. In the 1920s, World War 1 has just ended and soldiers were coming back from many casualties. From America being stuck in war, they were finally able to celebrate. A dramatic change had begun and the cultural structure had completely changed. A great economic growth was able to happen because of consumer goods, and this swept up America into a completely different society. From being reserved and rural, people became urbanized. Throughout the 1920s, cultural factors like the Jazz Age, Flappers, and the jazz music was what made Americans flourish and…

Historians say that the New Deal era is the beginning of modern American society. Many also say it was the beginning of the Imperial Presidential era. It was also a time when the quality of life had raised in a time of war. Life expectancy went up three years for whites and five years for blacks. (HIST 222 lecture, 28 OCT 10) There are many reasons why people consider the New Deal era the beginning of modern society, but the new reforms and programs, new women and new Negros, and the new consumer life style are the most evident and important.…
