After carefully interviewing the Stake holders of the Leonard Cooper Charter School, several issues were observed. The first noticeable concern was the print server. Their management of print jobs on the print server are called into question because of the many collisions on the print server. They are presently using a half-duplex system for their print jobs. A half-duplex system provides signal communication in both directions, however only one direction at a time. A good example of this technology might be two-way radios. The person listening must wait until the transmitter concludes the signal transmission before responding to the call otherwise a collision will occur and the entire message won't get received. In a half-duplex Ethernet network, a collision is the result of two devices on the same Ethernet network attempting to transmit data simultaneously. In the event of a network "collision", both transmitted packets are discarded. Collisions are a normal occurrence on Ethernets. To remedy this problem, an Ethernet standard was put into place called, "Carrier Sense Multiple Access/ Collision Detect (CSMA/CD)" This allows network devices to "take turns" using the signal carrier line. When a device wants to transmit, it checks the signal level of the line to determine whether someone else is already using it. If it is already in use, the device waits and retries, perhaps in a few seconds. If it isn't in use, the device transmits. However, two devices can transmit at the same time in which case a collision occurs and both devices detect it. Each device then waits a random amount of time and retries until successful in getting the transmission sent. (Bryant, 2011).…

The college that I decided to research is called Florida International University or FIU for short. I feel like this college is appropriate for me because many of the amenities available fit my liking. The school has a very large campus and plenty of students to make new friends with, and is located in the heart of Florida. Florida’s weather is similar to Arizona’s, with the exception of humidity, making it feel just like home. There are many extracurricular activities at this college such as sororities and fraternities, a radio station, student council, and much more to keep me busy outside of my studies. This college also has a minimum GPA of 3.4 or greater, allowing me to be surrounded by students who value their education just as much as I do. I think FIU would be a great college for me to consider applying to because it has much of what I look for including size, location, academic and extracurricular programs.…

The career that I have chosen to pursue is Human Resources Management. When I started out on the path of “what I want to be when I grow up” I started in a completely different line of work. I wanted to be a Nurse when I graduated high school. I enrolled in college and I worked at a children’s hospital. After a while I started getting burned out by working long hours and on the weekend and I started to wonder if this was the right career that I wanted to continue with. I was offered a position at a staffing company that tailored to physicians and nurses and I knew right away that I loved being in an office rather than taking care of patients.…

According to the Pew Research Center, approximately 11.3 million undocumented immigrants currently reside in the United States. Of this total, the top 3 countries the unauthorized immigrants derived from are El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico. The nation is divided due to the variances in perspective of illegal immigration; whether you are for it or against it. Subsequently, the propaganda concerning immigration reform continues to play a prevailing role in U.S. legislations as well. Former President Ronald Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 in effort to end illegal immigration, however, the contrary happened. In other words, fraudulent settlers are inevitably going to find a way to reside in the U.S. despite the tighter border control. Which will beg the question of by what means does illegal immigration damage or benefit the U.S. economy?…
