Reflective Essay To Receive The Associates Of Arts Degree In College
This is my final semester as MCC and in May I will hopefully be receive my Associates of Arts degree. I am extremely excited to further my education at a four year university and hopefully obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. A few weeks ago, I received a wonderful opportunity to move to California so I quickly began the process of looking at universities in California. Yesterday, I received confirmation from a school that is near to where I would be locating, that my credits are transferable; however, the application deadline for Cal Lutheran University is on March 15th. I apologize for the short notice and inconvenience, but I was wondering if it is possible if you couple please write a letter of recommendation for me. While I was thinking of who to ask, you immediately popped into my mind because not only did I take one of your classes last semester, race and ethnicity, but I am also currently in one of your online classes this semester. …show more content…

Your views and opinions on race, gender, society, etc. have definitely influenced me in a positive way. I would be honored if you wrote a letter of recommendation; however, I fully understand if you cannot write one due to the short notice or if you do not feel comfortable writing one for me. If you decide that this is something you are interested in then all I would need is your email address so I can add it to my common application resume. The common application website would then email you a link to where you can submit the letter of recommendation that I cannot view. Again, I apologize for the short notice but I would sincerely appreciate it, but I understand if you cannot. Please let me know what your answer is as soon as you can. Thank

As a child, I always admired and respected men and women who served the United States in the Navy and armed forces. These positions required a lot of sacrifice which meant that only the strongest willed of them made it through. That will power seemed to distinguish them from other members of society, they were mentally and physically stronger. When it came time for me to look into applying for colleges, I looked for places that had good engineering programs, top tier educations, and a structured student campus life. Many universities had the former two requirements, however, very few had the latter requirement. While discussing college options with my computer engineering teacher, he recommended I look into the United States Naval Academy…

I have learned much in my 11 years in California public school. I learned to write in cursive; I learned my times tables; I learned the equation for a line, and I learned a thing or two about Shakespeare. However, the most important thing I learned is that is that the Common Core doesn’t work. The Common Core Standards Initiative is an approach to keep all American students on the same page. The problem is that it keeps all of us on page 1. In my AP Calculus BC class, my 13 classmates and I are piloting a Common Core textbook. At first, everyone was excited to try something new, but now we groan at the sight of the textbook. While I passed the AP test for the first year of Calculus, it has been a challenge “reviewing” these concepts in the new style. Why change a system that was proven to be successful? California, one of the last states to implement Common Core, actually made a change for the worse. Therefore, I strongly believe that the 28th amendment to the Constitution should be the nationwide abolishment of Common Core.…

I am writing to you with regard to Mr. Adebayo Lawal who has requested that I write a letter of recommendation on his behalf. Adebayo and I discussed his recent decision to pursue graduate studies through your university. I applaud his decision and strong desire to take his dedication and skill to the next level. At AGL Consulting we continually recognize new employees who seek more than a career. They are looking to make their mark in the IT and management industry. They come with dreams of high success and are willing to work hard. However, IT and management industry is quite competitive and often tough to break into. Many with high hopes don’t survive the pressure. Others seem to handle pressure well, but lack creativity, guts or discipline. There is also a great need for these individuals to remain focused on the “big picture” and lead the company toward its goals. Lastly, one must continue to grow and improve personally and professionally to reach the top. Luckily for AGL Consulting we recognize that Adebayo possesses all of the necessary qualities to succeed in this tough business. We have closely watched him develop into a fine leader. Additionally, Adebayo’s desire to stay at the top of his game is clear as he consistently offers a fresh perspective and creative approach to projects. He also approaches his projects by calculating risks and making solid determinations. I have worked with Adebayo for 2yrs.He is also constantly looking for new challenges, skill building and developing a resourceful network of colleagues that respect and admire him. Adebayo is still young to the industry and can be embellish here at times. However, he somehow manages to turn negative events into positive learning experiences and never makes the same mistake twice. He also never gives up and appreciates positive criticism that can only make him grow in the long run. Adebayo does have a few shortcomings—that he is aware of and tries…
