After taking a team management quiz, there was a section at the end saying "You're on your way to becoming a good manager" (No Author Given). This means that there are some traits needed in order to further improve the ability of managing and working with others in a team-based environment. According to the score interpretation section after taking the quiz, there are some skills that are being avoided which should be noticed and taken care of when given the opportunity. Some of the characteristics I need to improve on include being overly ambitious, procrastination, being too demanding of teammates, being unable to articulate my vision to others and lack of confidence. These weaknesses are important because they take part in defining who I am and how I am viewed. For example, I do no want to be the team member that is difficult to work with, that is not how I want the business community to view me. These weaknesses hinder my ability to achieve my vision due to the fact that they all impact my character negatively. I will not be given the opportunity to take part in extracurricular group projects (which are essential in developing my fundamental leadership qualities) if I am lacking confidence or lacking the ability to articulate my vision. Procrastination and being overly ambitious will also hinder my vision of gaining a positive…

In reading the essay “Should Educators Use Commercial Services to Combat Plagiarism” the authors gave some conflicting opinions on educators using plagiarism services. I chose to focus on this topic because so many of my fellow learners/peers are not clear on plagiarism and how plagiarism services work. Plagiarism is the intentional use of someone else’s work without giving them credit. Services like Turnitin detects plagiarism. Some educators suggest that concern with plagiarism should be more about teaching students to appreciate the development of knowledge, acknowledge intellectual contributions of other scholars, and represent the process of building on existing knowledge in academic writing and less about violating rules and copyright…

The results of the paper, Lab Courses Go Virtual, came back with 98% similarity of plagiarism. This result defiantly exceeds the maximum amount allowed in regards to plagiarism. If I were the student, I couldn’t look my instructor in the eye or in this case respond to any correspondence with a clear honest and complete reason as to why I would have done something so deceitful as to copy some else’s work.…

The strange thing about plagiarism is that it's almost always pointless. The writers who stand accused, from Laurence Sterne to Samuel Taylor Coleridge to Susan Sontag, tend to be more talented than the writers they lift from. The well-regarded historians Stephen Ambrose and Doris Kearns Goodwin, recently charged with plagiarizing, fit the profile. Ambrose denied plagiarism but pledged to correct the errors in future editions of his latest book. Goodwin's case resulted in a private settlement and more footnotes.…

Strengths. My high rating on question 1 of the assessment indicates that I am willing and interested in providing leadership to groups of people. Effective leaders influence followers and their followers influence them. The influencing process is between leaders and followers, not just the leader influencing followers; it’s a two way street. Question 2 indicates that I am also capable of being a good follower by providing input and being able to influence leadership. I am ready and willing to share my thoughts and ideas. The assessment showed that I posses the desire to influence others as a leader or a follower. As an account manager I have more power than others in my organization to influence some situations, this influence includes, power, politics and negotiating. Question 4 related to my ability and desire to share management responsibility as a leader. My ability to learn new things and enjoy change is shown in my response to question 6. I enjoy working with people and enjoy sharing management responsibility. Effective leaders need to be able to get along with people and want to see them succeed as well as being successful yourself.…

The paper that was written for this assignment was found to be 97% similar to another article found online. Academic honesty is important because the whole point of academics is learning the subject. If you take material from the internet and just copy it, you’re not learning the subject, you just copy and pasted what was already available online. Next time for your paper please put information into your own words, and summarize the material with your own thoughts included to make it original. Also be sure you use proper netiquette when writing your paper, and make sure you write it in an appropriate and professional tone.…

Plagiarism is unacceptable. Period. Everyone who has ever attended any school in the world knows this. It is no secret. I believe that a person turning a plagiarized paper knows that they are. Now, If it’s that they are using quotes without giving credit to the author, as an instructor, I would simple remind them that they are to do so and refer them to the Reference and Citation Generator in the University Of Phoenix online library. I would also explain that there are two types of plagiarism: accidental and deliberate. Whether on purpose or accident, the student needs to realize that “Academic dishonesty includes “cheating,” “fraud,” and “plagiarism,” the theft of ideas…

Putting up the best story that the public would be interested in is a tough job. There is always the need of highlighting ideas based on facts and the avoidance of personal opinions and fictions. Because when there’s a hole discovered in the story or if the line between facts and fiction blurrs, it’s not just the credibility of the writer who is at stake but also that of the editor and the entire publication. Some writers fabricate their stories to be able to attract more readers and make a name in the public. The movie highlighted an essential factor that a writer especially a journalist should always avoid - plagiarism and fabrication.…

Notorious Ph.D. is, like many professors, tasked to teach a 100-level survey course. Not everyone taking such an intro general education course is particularly interested in the subject matter [though, geez, I managed to find gen. ed. courses I was genuinely interested in--anthropology, Latin, drama, medieval lit., art history--and if you're honestly interested in learning, I expect you'd be able to find the value in virtually gen. ed. course]. This lack of interest can lead to students taking shortcuts. Like plagiarizing papers. That made Notorious Ph.D. angry. You wouldn't like her when she's angry.…
