This practice is called Central Support Services, or CSS for short, and encompasses all ‘overhead’ business functions, including multiple Accounting teams, Finance teams, Information Technology, Marketing, Legal Services, Human Resources, and Recruiting. While our caregivers are our clients’ support systems, CSS is the caregivers’ support system. This is the piece of the value chain I am most familiar with since I work for the Financial Planning and Analysis office within this service, which employs both Financial and Business Data Analysts. As a whole, BAYADA has invested in individual licenses for Tableau and a handful of employees, including myself, utilize Excel PowerPivot services to help build complex dashboards to assist with process improvement and complex reporting tasks. Analytics can be seen as adding value throughout the company, primarily used as a way to identify the performance metrics that drive the various offices, allows managers at all levels to measure and manage performance, and in some aspects aides with growth and expansion.
