Even though there are many physical changes during this time, there are other factors that come into play in order for a middle adult to have a satisfying sex life during this period of their life. "This generation has desires to fulfill and wealth to dispose of" and that is exactly what this site intends to capitalize on (Coleman, Hladikova & Savelyeva, 2006). Even though there may be a loss of sexual desire during this stage, men and women both are seeking meaningful companionship; whether there is a sexual component or not, they still want some form of intimacy. This site is specifically geared to individuals over 50 years of age, and it's claim to fame is to help them escape social isolation and loneliness that they may be facing either through romance, friendship or any type of relationship in between. The companionship that they find may also lead to new learning abilities in this stage of adulthood because new relationships may spark new interests and a motivation to learn new things. Another piece of advertising used here is that the Stitch "community" has been built by their members, which means that the activities, discussions and events are basically created and ran by baby boomers.
