Expecting a newborn in the family soon? Then it’s time to shop for baby essentials. Among the other essentials, a baby stroller is a must-have for most moms and dads. This essential piece of parenting gear is truly useful right from the start until your child is able to walk a substantial distance all on his own, probably around 2 to 3 years old.

However, with so many different types of strollers available from top-of-the-line model to most basic, it can be a little challenging to decide which one is right for you. Spend a lot of time outdoors? Then you should opt for jogging stroller. This type of stroller often features three bicycle wheels on a lightweight frame, allowing it to deliver a smooth ride for both passenger and pusher. Jogging stroller is ideal for taking your child on long walks, runs or even hikes - as long as the trail is wide enough to accommodate it. It’s ideal for climbing steep hills or navigating curbs in urban environments. The only drawback is that jogging strollers don’t fold up as compactly as other types.

Need a no-fuss and lightweight option? You may choose to have the lightweight strollers, also known as umbrella strollers. This type usually weighs around 12 pounds or less and can fold up easily. However, the lightweight strollers may not have much padding on the seat and at times, are not very adjustable, but they are often inexpensive compared to other models with more features.
